Thank you for playing! Very proud of the animations, it was one of the major reasons for me to picking this idea. Would love to have dialled up the hit effects.

Thank you for playing! It's my "specialty" I feel and picked the idea where I can really do something quick and effective lol The characters are the same 3d model that ive modelled and textured to look flat to give the "hand drawn" look. More prep time BUT the speed at which I can do animations that look "good" is alot faster.
Thank you for playing! It's just a 3d model I've rendered off and textured it to look flat with outlines. I really wanted to push the smears further but because I rigged him quickly, I couldn't get it to look any better haha The punch smears work really well though, theyre just 1 sprite I used a warp on
Thank you. The player controller pretty much pushed the project to completion, managed to get it done before the end of the second day so everything went "smoothly" after that. The remaining time was all on the champion and his AI.. just managed to get the major bugs out with during that last day lol
Thank you! Yeah I agree about the music. I only just got sound effects in there in the last few hours so pushed it to the end. The punches are just me tapping a mic and combining it with me blowing into it lol Very proud of the AI, I had started a '3rd level of Ai' with feints, but had to trim last minute..
Thank you for playing. The idea was to keep it like rock paper scissors but once I realised it was more fun to just sway quickly I had to pivot lol I had to simplify it alot in the end but really wanted you to be able to telegraph and bait the AI into going to certain sides so you could setup big punches. Alot of learnings and fun from it. It's definitely a project I might continue later.. Having different fighting styles and punch types would add so much.
Thank you! There was definitely a lot more I wanted to do with it. The camera angle I wanted something cinematic and was inspired by Pokemon and God of war. In hindsight I prob would tweak it a bit so the attacks are a little more readable.. but was happy with the outcome. There was a lot more I wanted to do and maybe explore them in the future.
Thank you for playing it! I couldn't come up with anything really that was like " This could work" in regards to the theme, which is why I settled for the easy "scale the tower" option lol I did have a story, that would've helped... but all went out the window due to time restraints. Congratulations again on your game jam submission, I really hope it does well.. so clever and well executed.
Thank you for playing it! I'm quietly proud of the animation and character controller... level design was a mad scramble because I spent too much time on the former lol I actually designed it that way, the inspiration were the rage games that you had to climb mountains and could fall all the way to the bottom.. won't be everyones cup of tea, but was hoping there would be enough "fun" in the character controller to get you to say... one more try haha
Thanks for playing it! Funnily enough the background was the last thing I gave up on, only because I couldn't get the vertical parallax to work properly haha The idea was it was a crime syndicate tower, which ended with the big boss at the end by the final window... had 60% of the background art done, but once I realised I didnt have time to spend time on "story"... just settled for what I had in test levels.
Thanks for playing it! I split it up into mini levels, double jump section was just after the sliding one so you wouldn't have missed it (big assumption on my part as lack of play testing from anyone outside of me was non-existent lol ). Definitely needed sound, some more juice and I wanted to have a story to give it a bit of life.
