I love the character design and the controls! The level design could be improved since missing one jump could lead to the player losing a lot of progress. But the game's still pretty solid overall.
I enjoyed the game! I liked the character art and wonder what it would've looked like if you have more time :D
The inputs work fantastic, it is really responsive!
The character's art is amazing! Some polishing and audio would be great, but the gameplay is pretty fun!
The artstyle and animations are awesome ! cool concept
very cool auto runner. Nice art.
Really good character controller, fun mechanics, and amazing animations. I do feel like the theme could have been implemented in a more substantial way, but overall great job!
Thank you for playing it! I couldn't come up with anything really that was like " This could work" in regards to the theme, which is why I settled for the easy "scale the tower" option lol I did have a story, that would've helped... but all went out the window due to time restraints. Congratulations again on your game jam submission, I really hope it does well.. so clever and well executed.
You really nailed the character and the basic platform movement, really amazing. The level design could improve, as there are some places where missing a jump can cause you to replay a huge part of the level. Congrats on the amazing entry!
Thank you for playing it! I'm quietly proud of the animation and character controller... level design was a mad scramble because I spent too much time on the former lol I actually designed it that way, the inspiration were the rage games that you had to climb mountains and could fall all the way to the bottom.. won't be everyones cup of tea, but was hoping there would be enough "fun" in the character controller to get you to say... one more try haha
Wow the character sprite is so good, the animation is really smooth! I wish that some background got a bit of the drawing budget too, but good job either way!
Thanks for playing it! Funnily enough the background was the last thing I gave up on, only because I couldn't get the vertical parallax to work properly haha The idea was it was a crime syndicate tower, which ended with the big boss at the end by the final window... had 60% of the background art done, but once I realised I didnt have time to spend time on "story"... just settled for what I had in test levels.
Very beautifull and nicely paced ! Congrats !
Got stuck for a while before press down to slide prompt. Apparently there's a double jump? Not sure if this part is beatable without it, and it's not explained. Would also be great to have some sound effects. Oh, and air dashing is fun!
Thanks for playing it! I split it up into mini levels, double jump section was just after the sliding one so you wouldn't have missed it (big assumption on my part as lack of play testing from anyone outside of me was non-existent lol ). Definitely needed sound, some more juice and I wanted to have a story to give it a bit of life.
This is a fun game. Well done! I'd love to play this in a released version.
It would be better if the view adjusts to reveal obstacles for each section.
Thank you for playing it! The camera definitely needed to be adjusted to help you see obstacles coming up.. got the chop when I fell behind haha
It was a lot of fun! The animations were really smooth--I liked the sliding one in particular. I kept jumping too high lol, but I got the hang of it, so it was a good amount of challenge!
Thank you for playing it! As you can prob tell, spent too much time on getting the animation and character controller as good as possible... then realised I had less than a day to do the level lol
