I’ve released my next game as a solo developer — Xeno Defense Protocol — a project I’ve been working on intensively recently. It’s a browser top-down shooter with tower defense elements and an RPG progression system (you can buy and upgrade weapons and various other upgrades). In short, what the game is about: Defend your base against waves of alien insects and farm as many materials as possible, which are needed to upgrade your equipment (If you die, you will lose all collected materials from the current mission). I’ve also implemented multiplayer modes (DM and TDM). I’d be very grateful for any feedback — that’s the most valuable thing for me.

Hey, I replied to the issue on GitHub—give it a try! I set up a new project on Supabase and ran this script there, and everything works fine. I’ve also merged it into the master branch.
Also, don’t forget to create your .env file and set all the necessary environment variables.

I've sent you an invitation on GitHub. There are two repositories – mysteria-server (backend) and mysteria-game (frontend). You need to switch to the branch named "add-ai", which contains the latest version. The database is running on Supabase, where I can also invite you, or you can use your own database created from the scripts — but I'm not sure if all the necessary scripts are included in the repositories. If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out.

Regarding point 3: in the early game, the railgun has high projectile speed, and it's good to have freezer towers that slow down enemies. In the late game, you need to build the most expensive towers and place everything strategically — then it becomes manageable. I wanted it to be a bit of a challenge for the player.
As for point 5 – I’ve already added that to the game. And yes, it's just a small hobby project. I've been working on it for a few days.

Added. You can now return to the menu using the "M" shortcut key or via the game settings.

Sometimes it takes a bit longer for the server to start up (it’s necessary to keep trying to log in). Unfortunately, I’m using a free plan for the server, so I can’t control this, as the operating costs wouldn’t be covered since the game is free. The server is online now, so if you're around, give it a try.

It works like this: when a player registers, they start with a rank of 1000, and if they lose in PvP, their rank decreases. That’s why on the leaderboard, you see a lot of players in top positions who haven't played any games. 😄

I've got some good news for you. I managed to set up the option to train against the AI today. Right now, the AI is only using one deck, but hey, it's a great way to practice and get a feel for the game.

In the game, there are around 4 active players, including myself, but yes, it’s a bit tricky to find an opponent at the moment. AI is in the works (let's say within the next month). Another option? Invite your friends to join in 😊
