Please use this comment section to post BUG Reports. I can not promise I can fix everything, but I will do my best.

Do take the time to see if others have had the same issue as you, and as a forewarning if your issue has been fixed, I will probably remove it from this blog as to keep this thread clean and a good place for future reports.

Interesting. Do you have a different keyboard layout than the traditional QWERTY layouts? Also please make sure you have Byte in focus (Left Click her at least twice, she if she will say something to you in response)

Ah, yes that is correct. They are all on one scale. I might look into that feature in the future!

I'm making note! For now I do need a small break, so Ill look it over sometime this week in more detail

Hello once again everyone! Update 0.2.0 is here! Check out the Patch Notes and give the new build a download!

Remember if you love what we do and want to support Cindesh make more amazing art for this project, do check out their Substar!

It's already in the game! Check the Settings menu in the Pause Menu (Esc key) and there is a scale option there ^^

It's already in game~! Just hit tab on Byte when you have her in focus will lock her to a single monitor (The one of which she is one)

Oh and next update will have items not dip so low on the taskbar, that was a bug that has been fixed!

Haha, Ill check a look. On the Windows version the controls do function and it seems on my end the '2' key does work on my side. Ill check a look to see if I need to do something special.

Also Ill check a look at Bit's kill condition but that is changing anyway in 0.2.0. Also funny fact, we do have invincible enemies programmed but not used currently. Perhaps in the future~

Oh fuck you're right, that is spitting out a bad file location for the config. My Mistake, Ill fix that for the 0.2.0 update!

Hey these are neat ideas! I actually have the systems in place for the 2nd and 3rd ones there but the issue that appears is content and resources to put towards it. At the moment we want to slowly add more fun little things to the game and if Cindesh is able to earn enough money on their substar, they will be able to work on this to add a lot more fun things that are complex like those listed features!

Thank you for the support <3

Yeah, I can look into that. For sure not a next update thing but for sure Ill put it on my radar!

Hey friend, as a note; the password isn't needed to enjoy the game and we are VERY hard at work trying to get the 0.2.0 update to you all as soon as we can which will introduce a proper way to get the password.

I, myself, haven't shared the password as I can't in good faith due to it giving Dev commands which are not properly tested for that version and does have one or two bugs I've already fixed for the next update.

Perhaps... I do have plans to make an official Linux build with more rigorous testing for the 0.2.0 update. There might have been a bad parse with the password string. And every starting letter in each word should be capitalized in the password

Hello! Yes, I've already ID'ed the issue with items falling through the taskbar and will be in the next patch. As for the black squares around the back of objects and characters, that is a rare repro issue that I haven't been able to get any information on and have been trying to fix, it seems to be fairly rare and I've heard from another user that it might be a CPU issue, doing my best to look into it and solve!

As for the Blue Robot, Bit, they are apart of the Cindesh Content which you can enable in the settings menu but again, if you do not know Cindesh's normal artwork, I would not recommend turning it on. Trust you aren't missing much and you can force spawn him in with the terminal (If you are Admin) without enabling that

Hey that is still valuable information! If you are unable to spot that on the golden path that means the time it takes to auto pop is way to long. Ill make sure to lower it next update <3

EDIT: The lifespan of the popups was between 15 to 30 seconds before auto pop. Decided to lower that heavily. Probably will feel much better

No I'm sorry for the scare! We did our best to mitigate that issue but it is out of our hands. We do hope you enjoy the pet <3

Next to any command that spawns objects put /ls to list all Item IDs!

And Ill talk to Cindesh to see if we can add in the scenes to the Gallery, but that might take a little bit of time due to how those are structured!

WOOF, I am so sorry we flagged your Anti-Virus man, but we did as much as we could to prevent that through signing the program file to correctly handling her method of file reading. But sadly just due to the nature of what she is there is bound to be false flags,,, We have been aware of the possible chance and it is something we can't control,,,,

Listen, I won't remove your post but please put at the top of your message you got a false positive instead of at the end, it would mean the world to us to make people looking to download the game don't get the wrong idea!

EDIT: Thank you for editing that <3

Next to any command that spawns objects put /ls to list all Item IDs!

Interesting, Popup's are supposed to close on their own in Passive Mode. Ill double check to make sure that is running! It might be they are lasting too long. As for picking up items in passive mode, sorry but it's as designed to not let you when in said mode. Though! Her AI is smart enough to pick up items and combine them herself :3

Ill talk to Cindesh about the Bit and Byte interactions!

Ok it will be coming in the next update! Decided to program that out. Had the energy and really liked the idea.

2 or 3 keys to cycle through! Make sure you have your mouse over her and she is in focus (Click on her at least twice).

Lovely suggestion! Ill take note of it and will attempt to possible add it to the 0.2.0 update. No promises as that is UI work and might be pushed back to a later update

OH! The crash dump EXE file, please do not run that. That is a .NET tool used to get crash logs generated if the Byte.exe file where to crash. Running that on it's own isn't safe and outside what our program does. Again I will verify next update removes any language referencing touching any files other than the config file.

To restate: Byte.exe is the only exe you should be running and save_Byte.cfg is the only file you should be editing. Sorry again for the confusion friend and I hope you have a good one!

Hey Captain, I apologize about the crashes you where having! While the game does encourage to look within the config file, I don't recommend tinkering with other files other than that one. Ill be sure to do a pass on the language we use in game and verify that for next update as to make sure people know not to go tinkering with bad files like createdump application (Which I am currently attempting to read into because I, Myself, do no know what you are referencing).

As for the password, I have laid out some big hints and helped explain the situation around that. In a future update please expect that to be less obtuse and difficult to obtain in the future.

I made a blog post about the Password! Please give it a ready ^^

Damn, yeah that sadly doesn't help a ton in terms of QA info I can use to trace this. Ill attempt to put some logging in the next update that may help track this down, but I can't promise anything. I'm sorry

Hit escape to open up the pause menu and all keybindings should be presented in the Info box at the top!

I see, yeah I can take a look into adding a safe guard for items getting to low.

That's nasty... Ill try to look more into what is causing this but I don't have a lot of information to go off of for a fix. Did you happen to do any specific steps before hitting this error? For example running her for an extended period of time or doing a specific interaction (With her or within another program like a full screen game)?

Hello! There is a size setting in the Settings menu!

Hey all! I have made a blog post about upcoming updates and the Root Access Password. Please give it a read!

Hey thanks for taking the time to give feedback on the spawn rates! We do have plans to up those given performance has been stable for the most part across the downloads from what I can see!
As for the password, that is a Dev tool that I left in to let people who wanted to figure it out, could. Ill be transparent, there is no gameplay there other than some vague hints to have it solved. I have realized this is a mistake and will be updating the "puzzle" to be solved through an organic way as it seems a TON of people enjoy that as a real puzzle. Sorry for the trouble friend!

Oh I mean delete all the files within the Config's folder. The files present should be Logs, objectdb_snapshots, shader_cache, and vulkan. Try removing those and restarting her. Please be careful when deleting stuff of course.

On the Twitter there is a thread from a user who figured out the password! It's a good line to follow

The Terminal is just a small place that holds lore and fun little easter eggs. The root access though is a Dev Password that lets you get Dev commands. I left it in for fun, but is not required for the fun of the game! Some people have solved it, so poke around the comment section and the twitter for hints

UNTYPED in the blacklist by default is a safety net for my code to make sure stuff is handled properly. <3 It's a staple of most of my enums to have 0 as an untyped assigned address.

Interesting... I haven't seen that error before nor can I repo it off the issues you two have listed above. For now attempt to fully remove all information on the game. If you are able to enter the terminal ( The ` key ) and type CONFIG. This will give you the location of the games config data. Then Delete everything there. Hopefully that will fix it temp?

I linked a Linux build under the original comment chain! Give it a try and tell me how that goes.

I honestly have no idea if this will work so I shoved the Linux build into a MEGA upload here. Please give it a try! If I see more people wanting a dedicated Linux build, Ill update my tools and try to get an official build uploaded, but will see if it's possible or not lol.

Also for the future, remember people don't click weird mega links by random strangers LMAO. But this is just the Linux build
