Hey all! Outside of Doom and if counts Legend of Grimrock, I've not played any games from this genre. What would be a game to play an get the essentials down until the Jam starts?

Nice to hear that it is in your expected format. Feel free to let me know if you need further details.

And regarding the art license, feel free to use it on any commercial or fun project you may want. A mention is appreciated but not necessary.

hey there Sissa! It has a .PNG sprite sheet made of 16x16 tiles, you can paint a map with them. The screenshots are the same static shape of map with randomly selected tiles that's in the file. With less repetition it is easy to build good looking maps.

Please let me know if you would like an another format of file to be attached to this project as well, as far as I know sprite sheets are way to go and standard for these type of assets.

Cheers!

thank you very much, looking forward to see what you'll come up with!

Hello! You can use it for commercial purposes for sure, please also be sure to let me know the product once it's out, would love to play it myself as well.

And if it suits you, mentioning my nick here wouldn't hurt as well in credits. But if these will only occupy a small portion of the game, feel free to skip it.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that you are still going strong on your project!

Hopefully this one will be useful to you. I'm rusted a bit and decided to do a quick model fiddling, it took ~7 minutes to craft.

Let me now if you got any ideas on what to model next <3

Thank you for the answer!

Let me see if I can come up with something cool during weekend

For sure, I'll update the files within next 24 hours. Thank you for the feedback. I'll keep godot users in mind for the future.

Are you the best?

I've lost interest in putting things here because there was a lack of feedback and even though people were downloading assets they were not leaving any comments or encouragement behind.

would love to learn if you need any other models to use for your project, so I can make and upload them here for public usage.

You've rekindled something.

Thank you.

Go wild man! You can use it however you want.

I would love it if you can mention my name or as rule of honor indicates make a small donation. But please feel free to give it life.

And just be sure to let me know if the product is in any-way playable. Would love to try my hands <3

Thank you very much for taking your time to provide feedback! It is much appreciated <3

The bug was a total novice mistake; I was the only play-tester and knowing what to do with ins-and-outs that bug dodged me throughout the weekend. For the future projects, I'll be sure to share the project with some play-testers(friends) for sure and no matter how simplistic the game logic is, will focus more on my code structure. If my code was not such a mess, I would surely notice the inconsistent behaviour.

It's wonderful that you "saw" what I was trying to do and liked it! After a couple of weeks I really want to re-handle this project from ground-zero to see what can be improved, and there were some things that I wanted to implement but cut back due to the time limit.

And to finally answer your question, everything -including the race and specimen names, and of course their stats- are procedurally generated, In theory game continues infinitely.

Hey,

Thank you very much for taking your time to give some feedback <3

Now that's a compliment that I can get behind, I was afraid that the gameplay experience was too close to an excel sheet, but - of course - this aspect may rock some boats as well :D

Thank you very much for taking your time to give your feedback! It is much appreciated <3

Well, coloring the genders were too hot of a topic for me to handle, I even stayed away from naming them as "F" or "M" :D

But you are absolutely right, colors could be randomized as well among themselves to stay neutral.

This made me hungry for a real-time card game!

Really a great idea implemented wonderfully in this short span of time, the huge effect of RNG throw me off a bit, but this is really fun!

Thank you  very much for the feedback!

It was difficult to put things into words in the tutorial, I had nothing to do but top it off with a quick prayer for J to take the wheels of my players :D

Definitely going to check your Jam!

I would love to see this idea implemented into pacman :D

Really fun!

Really love the hand-drawn (at least seemingly) assets! The music is just wonderful as well

Really fun! Love the way they fight :D

The NPC is great... I hate him <3

There were some instant deaths, but overall it was a pleasing experience.

It is really fun! I just loved the boost's satisfying visual effects.

Thanks a lot for taking your time to provide feedback! It is much appreciated <3

Yes, It was very difficult to fidget the numbers enough so that the ill is not instantly recognizable, but at current state - if it pleases the RNG gods - I believe some healthy specimen can have worse vital signs than the ill one.  Will mind-storm on a solution to this problem tho, as 2/3 of the current comments has the same critique :D

Thanks for the kind words Skyla, would love to got at least one negative comment if possible <3

I really don't know what should be my following steps to improve, but I'll clock in more and more time practicing.

Hey all!

This week I've started to practice some 3D modeling by rushing through a couple of youtube tutorials for blender and I would love to hear your feedbacks if you have time to inspect these,

My most recent model - the one I've done today - is in the following link;

I'm looking forward to hear what I should work on to improve!

Cheers!
