While it has died down recently, there was a time when there were quite a few scammers posting phishing links to game comment sections alleging to be game updates.

And there are still people who submit their games to every single game jam out there, whether or not their game matches the theme.

We've also experienced many accounts submitting suspicious builds (probably malware) that have no thumbnails and barely any game description (e.g. "test game").

Please add an option where only moderator-approved content is made public.

First, "Softly, With Teeth" Kickstarter project was conducted by Olivine Arc (Aubry K.), the lead of Studio Chiffon. swtkickstarter@gmail.com is Olivine Arc's email address.

EVERIUM has simply purchased a license from Olivine Arc to use "Softly, With Teeth" and has no involvement with the Kickstarter project itself. However, Olivine Arc requested that we allow their Kickstarter backers to enjoy the newly created game, and we thought it would be ideal to satisfy as many people as possible.

As we were informed by Olivine Arc, the delivery of 'Velvet Bite' Steam keys to Kickstarter backers was completed in February 2025. Please check the email you used to back the Kickstarter.

An informational email regarding the cameo tier was sent to the cameo tier backers in the spring of 2024. EVERIUM completed the character work for the four backers who submitted their character information by August 15, 2024. 

We respectfully ask that "Softly, With Teeth" Kickstarter backers refrain from perceiving EVERIUM as their debtor. Both the provision of the Steam keys and the creation of the cameo sprites were undertaken at EVERIUM's sole expense, without any financial compensation from Olivine Arc. This was a gesture of goodwill towards the visual novel community.

Hello! Olivine Arc has informed us that Steam Keys will be sent to Kickstarter backers and Itchio pre-orderers in the next few days.

It's tricky to say the exact price right now because there will be a launch sale. Please check back on release day!

Yes, January 31st is our current target release date! We plan to finish debugging and polishing this week, so barring any unforeseen issues, we should be able to stick to this timeline. 

However, depending on the circumstances, we might need an additional 3-7 days, so we won't be able to confirm the exact release date until QA is complete.

The game's now been reviewed and accepted by Steam, and we're in the final polishing stages, so we expect to be able to release it at the end of January 2025!

We are not sure where this misunderstanding came from, but based on the agreement, Olivine Arc is responsible for the distribution of “Velvet Bite” steam keys. We believe this is the most appropriate procedure because, legally, EVERIUM does not have the responsibility or the authority to handle personal information and contact details of "Softly, With Teeth" Kickstarter backers.

EVERIUM has never received any payment from "Softly, With Teeth" Kickstarter backers. We hope you understand that our provision of “Velvet Bite” steam keys is an act of goodwill to protect the visual novel enthusiast community.

Currently, we expect “Velvet Bite” to be completed in January 2025, so we plan to deliver the “Velvet Bite” steam keys to Olivine Arc after completion. Please receive your steam key from Olivine Arc.

At the moment, we're focusing on releasing the game on Steam and Epic Games Store!

Unfortunately, we can't answer that question at this time. A Nintendo Switch game requires developer approval from Nintendo. Our current plan is to release the PC version first, followed by development of the Nintendo Switch version!

The bonus route characters do not appear in the demo, as they only appear in the mid-game. However, we will positively consider creating an update version!

You may see an "unsafe" warning when running software without a certificate. We downloaded and tested it on our Windows machine and it worked fine, so it's a bit tricky to pinpoint the exact cause.

Here are some common solutions that might help:

(1) Try deleting the game files you downloaded earlier, and then re-downloading the entire game. This will ensure that you have a clean copy and eliminate any possible file corruption issues.

(2) Double check that the downloaded files have been fully extracted from any ZIP folders. EXE files usually won't run directly from a compressed archive.

If you are still experiencing problems, we recommend that you try the web version (browser version) of the software. We have received 0 reports of the Web Version failing to run.
