After a rather long break I'm happy to say that the next update is in development. I am unsure if I will make this into a full release or not. It will include a few new clothing sets, as well as a shop from which you can buy clothes. You won't start with any clothing sets except the default one.

Mobile support probably isn't too difficult to implement, since the web game runs natively in the browser, and there are no keyboard controls. That being said, mobile support is not planned. You probably won't see it for a while.

This game shouldn't show up under any mobile tag. I'll fix that.

Yes, a downloadable version is planned.

No, there are no plans for dickgirls. I don't have anything against dickgirl content, so you might see it in future titles. I just don't think it would fit Sandal-Bearer particularly well.

I'll post a roadmap at some point, but the idea is to reformat the game so the player begins the day in her home. From there, you can choose to go to work at the club, but also go to various shops to buy utility items and more outfits.

Items will mostly be related to temporarily boosting stats, as well as a condom which will become a consumable prerequisite for condom-related events. Regarding outfits, I plan to implement roughly 8-12 total.

A "free play mode" is a good idea. Honestly it is probably a low priority at the moment but I'll throw it on the stack of future updates.

In the future, I plan to collaborate with an artist to produce a game without any AI assets. This is already in the works. I'm a programmer and designer at heart.

Thanks for playing! I'm personally a little disappointed in how the AI pixel art turned out. I didn't have time to fine-tune it or do manual edits, due to the time constraints of the jam.  The main focus of future updates will be completely revamping the pixel art to be higher quality, and most importantly, consistent in the animations, which it currently is not.

Sorry about the detection bug. I thought I'd ironed that out. It's a remnant of an abandoned "tattle tale" system where guards would chain their alerted states to find the player together. Will be fixed in v0.2.

As for the shift to discussion boards, I saw that many other games favored the discussion boards over comments, so I thought I'd give it a try. I think it will be more useful for bug reports.

It's a competent implementation of baccarat with some narrative scaffolding around it. If you want to play a card game, I'd recommend it. Haven't found any bugs or quirks so you can enjoy playing baccarat to your heart's content.

A noble effort with the AI art, but it looks like you're using some seriously outdated models. It looks like early NovelAI from 2022. Not trying to roast you here, just leaves me scratching my head about how you actually generated this stuff.

This game has a hell of a vibe. I felt really immersed. Erotic, sure, but also evoking a feeling of longing or nostalgia. Setting the game in past tense was a unique choice and sold the feeling of "looking back on what we did". Of course, the Game Boy medium probably did some heavy lifting in contributing to this vibe. I can tell you're a good writer, and the environmental storytelling is top notch too

Fun game, and very charming. This is likely the game in the jam with the longest playtime. You managed to make a longer form experience without padding it in boring ways. Would play again.

Top tier pixel art. You really nailed the look and feel of the whole experience, especially the sex itself, which easily earns a high horniness rating.

I appreciate the time crunch in the dressing room. The pressure is what makes the gameplay great. However, I do feel like it's a bit too tight. It made me want to skip over customers if I had to perform a full outfit change.

Brilliant game! The core gameplay loop is fun. I felt really locked in.

You made so much content in such a short period of time, and with noticeable polish. It's very impressive. Good job on the music, too, it felt dreamy and relaxing

A good first effort on a brothel sim. You've got all the right mechanics laid out. Nice pixel art. I can tell you've got an eye for detail with the little foreground fade-out as you walk towards the back rooms. It's a shame that it's (frankly) in a barely playable state but with a bit more time you could have a really solid experience on your hands.

Thanks for the feedback. I think something that will help with the tedium is better gating and staging for the customers. More difficult customers should be exceptionally more difficult to deceive, but also pay out a lot more money.

Good catch. I have a list of updates I want to implement after the game jam is over, and I'll add this to the list.

How exactly I'll handle the money exploit is up in the air. It will probably be a combination of:

  • A fixed chance to fail at stealing, perhaps something like 5%
  • A harsher outcome for getting caught 
  • (Most importantly) Diminishing returns on stealing. A customer doesn't have infinite money in his pocket. So each time you steal it, the amount stolen can get less and less.

And yeah, the stealing is quite an exploit once you get into "Very Easy" territory. Good find!
