We'll add the Premium Version back on itch at some point after the Steam release, but until then unfortunately we can't do anything about it without shooting the game in the foot.

Unfortunately when development is so long and disjointed (Bunis was originally going to stop the game's development about 3 years ago) a lot of things end up looking out of place.
For a while we tried to rework old art to make it more consistent, but we realized that with the few resources we have that would simply slow development down to a crawl ^^"
We're hoping that with the Steam release we'll gather enough revenue to fund a more consistent development cycle and a more stable team of artists 🙏
Unfortunately itch has yet to revert the changes to visibility for games with payment options since the incident with payment processors, meaning that if we were to still host the premium version on itch we would be shadowbanned until we removed it.
Because of that we've been forced to remove any payment options from itch and only host the free version to avoid being shadowbanned.
We're very sorry for this but there's little we can do about it :(
Thea's route being broken was a bug! It is supposed to be fixed in the latest version, but unfortunately requires an entirely new save to be able to unlock it (this is due to not really finding what was bugged, and simply rewriting that section of her route's logic) ^^"
There will be a Chapter 2! Once we finish all the content we have planned for Chapter 1 (you can check our roadmap on Discord) we'll begin developing Chapter 2 which won't be a different game, but will instead simply be released as further updates for Randel Tales :D
We're very sorry for the inconvenience! Unfortunately despite having fixed the bug in the latest version, it will still require a new save to be able to unlock Thea's route.
That being said, if you fail to buy Twig you will gain access to her Romance route (instead of the Family route, which is what is unlocked through Thea), so maybe still give that a try regardless and maybe check Twig's other route on a second playthrough on the newer version :)
If you think it is worth it, the bug is fixed in the latest version but requires a new save. We understand that might be a bit of a hassle so maybe you can save that for a second playthrough using Easy Mode and use the opportunity to check the other Twig and Zenelith routes and maybe spend your stats so that you can see any alternative scenes that you might've missed on a first playthrough :)
It depends on your choices through the encounter! If you choose all the right options Twig's master may sell her to you for just 200 gold, but if you act poorly it might go as high as 600 >:)
Just to give you a couple of hints: you should introduce yourself as a noble (as he would want to have a good relationship with a possibly rich client), and you should definitely make sure he doesn't think you've talked to his property before (it is very disrespectful to approach other's slaves...)
There's the Friend Ending, obtained by turning Gabrial down; there's the Friends with Benefits ending, obtained by not raising Gabrial's trust enough throughout the quest for her to confess to you properly; the Commitment Ending which is reached if you have decent trust, or max trust but fail to convince her to have an open relationship and thus while you end up together she doesn't approve of any other partner you may have; the True Ending, which needs max trust and ends with her accepting that you may be with other people; and then there's multiple bad endings, though they count as a single ending (because they all end up with no more Gabrial content.)
Almost every single choice during Gabrial's route goes towards raising her trust stat, so it takes a bit effort to achieve the true ending, but it shouldn't be too hard to achieve at least the Commitment Ending even on a first playthrough.
I have to know what to to use and focus on ahead of time, I have to know what quests and jobs to do first, and even then bad things still happen plot wise even though I should be a god based on those stats. I get that some encounters are necessary for meeting or bonding with girls but I know an alternative should be possible when my guy at one point shouldn't get folded since prior he didn't against a more impressive threat.
The dialogue is also frustrating at the later end of quests and storylines. The things they say or do doesn't make sense. I killed this guy, why are they talking about him like I let him run away? Why is my guy letting clearly bad people live when he has every reason to kill or let them die? Mind you I chosen to let a certain elf live because I wanted to, a redemption leading to her turning into a housewife was surprising to me, but not all villains like the bandits deserve mercy, especially not those damn goblins. Early on the incidents of my guy letting some bandits live would make sense, but after that he should know better but he stops someone from killing them when they clearly are bad, then he does it again after that when it clearly was a bad idea because he got stabbed because plot said so. Again with stats not having as much effect as I'd like. I had run into a monster that required 7 reflex to auto dodge, that experience made me think I would be able to react quickly enough to avoid danger from lesser threats, the plot said otherwise.
We know it's not perfect, really we were just trying to do out best to try and add as much as we could in a single update to the game. That being said we plan on adding a lot more, so if you feel like it, we would appreciate it a lot if you hopped on our Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/ZZ79sMT) and left any suggestions for new dialogues and progressions, etc. in the suggestions channel! Despite not everything being possible, we do want to do as much as we can :)
Some things may not be possible with just a bandaid fix or a simple branching path (like would be the case with that one event in Cynthia's route), but even with those kinds of things we would love to be able to later on spend some of the updates entirely focusing on expanding singular routes. Cynthia for example is getting two new events in one of the updates coming soon as an alternative to the training events if your character has enough speed to not need to be trained :)
I want to ask for more options early on to get level ups, like quests and hunting options
As for this, as the intro states, you actually gain EXP by going to the guild as well. 1.9.2 adds pop-ups that tell you exactly how much EXP each thing gives you, but learning at the Academy is actually the best way to farm EXP outside of quests.
There's several issues in consistency across events like someone being dead, but people talk like they are still alive like the goblin leader.
Also, this has already been fixed in the latest version! :D
Thank you Ero Sandwich Studio for this game. Please be safe and good luck going forward in development.
Thank you for playing the game and leaving this comment, we hope we'll be able to keep improving the game in the future to make it as good as we can make it 🙏
Not every single art from previous updates will be reworked. By "old art" we mean art from 2020-2021, when the game had just started and our current lead artist wasn't as experienced as he is today.
As a matter of fact with 1.8 we're mostly done with reworks besides very few things like backgrounds or Evelyn's stuff (those artworks are also from that 2020-2021 timeframe) which we have decided not to rework until we rework her entire route.
Unfortunately our current lead artist will be leaving at some point in the relatively-near future, meaning that the change in art will be inevitable then.
To make it feel more seamless (especially for new players) we've decided that the old artworks, which were already going to be reworked, would be mainly reworked by the new artist so as to turn Chapter 1 into a mix of their two styles, making players prepared to when in Chapter 2 it will inevitably only feature the new artist's style.
