Very nice game and story.
Got all three endings (Is there more?).
The only thing I would change is the dialog’s speed, it’s kind of slow as it is.
Nonetheless, it’s a great submission. Good job

Very nice game, it gives me “dig-dug” vibes.
Even if I died too many times falling on a spike I really enjoyed playing your game.
It’s very impressive that you manage to make procedural generation that works in just a week. Good job on your submission

Thanks!!! Your game is great! I love your graphics and soundtracks (Nokia’s my fav).
I don’t know if it’s related to the linux’s build but the input track only show on the first run. This isn’t a big problem, I just need to reload the game to play a track again.
This is a very nice submission, good job.

Hey,
You’ve rated my game and I wanted to rate yours back but I don’t have a windows to play it.
Do you plan on making a web version (or Linux) ?
This looks like a really nice game from the screenshots…

Your game is really excellent but wayyyyyy too hard for me (I couldn’t even finish the first race T_T).
Maybe I’m not the brightest, but it took me quite some time to understand that the numbers shown during the animations were the gear sequence to reproduces… I thought this was count down until I saw the “R”.
The animation are really great.

Nice submission.
Even if I’m not too good with this kind of games (I’m not a native English speaker) I enjoyed playing your game. I only wish the game shows more than one piece in advance so I can try to build longer words.
Good job on your game.

(1 edit)

Very nice entry,
If you wish to improve on your game:

  • Add some sort of game over/death animation (maybe the climber falling down?). As it is, the game over’s screen shows up too early and we don’t see how we messed up our throw.
  • Add more mechanics to the game (Allow the rope to bounce back from walls to hit a hook unreachable directly. Add interaction with the terrain to build or clear a path to the next hook, …)
The game was enjoyable, good job on your submission

I loved your game.
At first I was a little worried with all the explanations, but in the end, the game plays very well, all the information needed are conveyed properly and the difficulty ramps up nicely.
This is a very good submission

That is a very cool game. The log barfing animation an the end of each levels is top notch!
Maybe I didn’t see it, but you should add the number missed logs when the player finishes a level.
Again very nice entry for a 1 week jam

Nice submission.
I wish there was more levels to it but I understand that a week is short.
If you plan on improving your game, here’s few things you should consider:

  • add a little tutorial (or levels that introduce only one game mechanic at a time)
  • replace the “hold to grab” mechanic by a toggle “grabbing/not grabbing”. Like other comments said, moving around with a finger holding another key is not ideal.
  • add an outline on the crates/boxes so they don’t end up lost in the level

Thanks for playing and the comment.
Once the ratings are over, I’ll try to post a improved version.

Thanks for playing. Well, yeah… It’s not my finest submission… I’ll do better next year ;)

The difficulty do ramps up, but it takes far too much time before you could noticed it… That’s because for some reasons (mainly sleep depravation), I decided to set the initial spawn rate of the flies at 5”. Thanks for playing
