As I've said, I'm obsessed with this. This adds megaworks into the game in a way that feels natural within the Root universe, and the fantasy of constructing these hulking automata from the resources available is really captivating. My two main notes are that the action system seems a little punishing to bad draws and I'm not really sure what the sentinel does as the only clearing you really want to defend in particular is the one with the collector, but they can't be in the same clearing.

I love this. The Chitinbane being in the game seems like it would add another level of drama, hordes amassing in the forest as a desperate company of armadillos races across the board to set up countermeasures and take down the beasts.
I feel like you could have given some more words to the schedule action as it's (by my understanding) a little strange and you have the extra space. I do wish the swarm was a bit less passive because you need outposts all across the board to score points, but opponents worried about about the swarm will have a better time stopping you from keeping any bait rather than letting you set up in a clearing.
I'm not sure I've seen/understood everything (I really would have appreciated a pdf) but I'm not sure how propaganda carts ever end up in opponents hands or what the press is other than free cardboard for everyone. I really like the theming of a despot puppeteering everybody's moves, and cards (as a representative of influence), is definitely a smart way to tell that narrative.
Being able to have 18 warriors across the board on turn 1 (6 from setup and 3 revealed to recruit) and ending the turn with 6 cards in hand seems like it might be a bit much, but I love the puzzle of getting to the high value places first, and it provides clear signaling of where you might be going next.
I know the review period hasn't started yet, I just want to say I absolutely adore this design and the theming around it. The action system has me a little concerned that you might just not be able to play if you draw too many foxes in the early game, but the scavenging for mud seems like a lot of fun.
Would the vagabond be able to purchase from the collector?
