Using a game jam to test your engine isn't a good idea. I believe I made a really decent game. I'm saddened that not everyone was able to see for themselves  :/ I made some decisions that led to the game not being able to run on a wide variety of PCs and that's disappointing

As a puzzle game lover, I enjoyed this one :)

Hey, sorry it didn't run for you. Can you please fill in this form over here please: https://forms.gle/DbVASkCqEEbKrBQy9?

Hahaha, I agree, alt+f4 is not acceptable but the UI system for my engine wasn't ready. I promise, next time there'll be a proper menu!

Oh wow, this game was hard but was a nice little way to wake me up today. Simple but effective

There's not really much in the way of gameplay and the controls don't feel nice. I kept bouncing off everywhere. The game also doesn't connect well with the theme. I think there might also be bugs with the buttons you made in the menu

Loved the music lol. Not much in terms of gameplay but I'm a sucker at testing my WPM so I got a lot of fun out of it!

I'll be honest. I wasn't the biggest fan of how the controls felt although the rest of the game wasn't bad. I just wish the game spent more time in the oven for a little bit more polish but obviously, you only had one week and it's a game jam. Negatives aside it was an interesting application of the theme

Interesting game. Knowing how much time was spent on it, the polish on it was amazing. Liked how the camera was animated at the end of each level. Wish there was more "gamey" aspects to it but for a simple game made in a short time, not bad!

The game design wasn't the greatest all in all but the art style was amazing. I wish I had more to say about this one as it was the prettiest game I've played so far

I love the art style. More time on the game design would have been nice but I'm jealous at how people can be so creative art wise. I feel like the connection to the theme could have been made stronger as well. The intro was really well done though!

Loved the mechanic. Loved how you tied narrative into it. The physics and collisions were a bit dodgy but this is a strong entry that I enjoyed. For me, I think it would have been made stronger if the movement was smoother and the levels were designed slightly more elegant but this is a gamejam and there's not much time for that so all in all, great job!

Now this game was interesting. To start with, the game is pretty. I like futuristic stuff so this was a plus. The movement of the ship at the beginning felt clunky though but I think you fell into something interesting. The objective of the game forces the player to improve the flying skills to enable them to search far and wide, high and low. So that was the most interesting part of the game for me. Bettering my flying skills to be able to search better.

The issues are, there's no real incentive to search for things and there's nothing in the game design that makes searching for things a skill you get better at. More time into designing  a way that players can use to get better at locating these things would help.

Overall, a decent entry that was nice to spend 20 minutes on.

Good luck!

Hey, if it's possible, could you please fill in this form over here: https://forms.gle/H4AUavFVCPkxMkzC8? Thanks :)

Hello, can you please fill in this form here. It'll help me understand the nature of your issues so I can work on the engine. Thanks! https://forms.gle/H4AUavFVCPkxMkzC8

If the game crashes or you are prevented from playing the game, can you please fill in this form: https://forms.gle/tzBZDHzj91sUF9pS6

That's unfortunate. Thanks for telling me that it didn't work. If you have time, could you fill in this form about your experience with my engine? https://forms.gle/TrQwbnzL2CKgho3o9

Ah, I see you are someone of culture too :) I would have put more music but unfortunately the build size became too big so I had to chop some songs last minute :( Thanks for the amazing comment!

I'm really glad you took the time to upgrade your drivers to play the game and I'm glad it was worth it and you enjoyed the experience! :)

You'll get it next time. If you want some resources on packaging Unreal Engine games, let me know :) Otherwise, I would appreciate it if you played through my game!

This was a really good one. I loved the challenge of figuring things out for myself. Good one!

Someone made a nice video of the game that you can watch here:

Fun game mechanic and application of the theme!

A bit too challenging. It's hard before the player can really get a handle of the controls

The puzzles can be really hard but I love a hard puzzle game. Was really fun and it's a pretty game!

Enjoyed this game a lot. Finally, I can play as spider-man in 2D! The rhino thing was a bit difficult to deal with, but overall, I enjoyed playing this game!

Wish you had more time to finish the game! Unfortunately, the controls aren't as intuitive and there's not much to play. Next time!

Unfortunately, can't seem to move the characters :/

Tricky game! It was pretty difficult but the challenge was fun!

My only gripe is it's a big download. Did you make it in Unreal? It was a bit difficult at first to understand exactly what I was supposed to do and at the end, I'm not sure if I was playing it correctly. I was managing to get better scores though :)

Played your game already and enjoyed it! If you have time, please play mine: https://itch.io/jam/lost-relic-games-1/rate/1580258

Try update your graphics driver if you can! Although if you don't have a dedicated GPU that might be hard :/

Hey, could you please try updating your graphics drivers! That should fix the problem :)

If you get the time, would love for you to play mine: https://itch.io/jam/lost-relic-games-1/rate/1580258

This is one of the sweetest comments I've ever received! I'm so glad you managed to get to play the game, and you enjoyed it as well! Thanks for taking your time out to play the game. I really appreciate it!

Sorry it took me so long to write this!

This game is amazing! I'm a fan of tower defence games and this one has the mechanics well sorted out. I loved having the ability to slow down some of the larger viruses so that I could have more time to take them out, that was a lovely and well balanced mechanic. The tutorial level is a really good tutorial level as well. It doesn't let you get by easily and makes sure you understand the merit of each item.

Overall, I enjoyed this game a lot :)

What a cool game mechanic! One of the more interesting uses of the themes I've seen so far

A little bit janky in areas but that's what happens with game jams, overall it was pretty nice!
