I think Juniper did not expect 14.4K people to join or 3.5k people to submit games even when prizes weren't great.

I think she will have to slowly play through every game or split the load with her mods.

The top price is Unity Assets or Boot Dev or a consultancy with CrazyGames. It's not 1 million or anything XD

Sometimes the jam can be abit of a popularity contest, and a visibility contest, some people were refreshing their screenshot pages with the same or slightly different screenshots or descriptions just to gain visibility throughout the jam.

Needless to say, I ignored them mostly when searching for good games I wanted to not only rate but enjoy while rating.

I won't quote Macrow or some of community cause I hate their toxic positivity, but what matters is if you believe in your game enough or its potential for further development. Most games won't last any further than the game jam or to be reused under a different username in another one to boost their validation (you know who you are) like how young gals post nudes or sexy photos repeatedly to feel good about themselves ;)

P.S I am just very satisfied that Honse did not rank as high as I thought it would. Same for other hyped games like 100 dev game from Team Ass.

The retribution dark paladin in me is laughing abit in glee though I rank below them.

Also the mods Juniper game, laughing that everyone said good good good, but it ranked at 785 for enjoyment. I thought it looked nice, but lacked a real gameplay hook and the scoring was messed up. It would have worked if it was multi-player and everyone could laugh at the responses, but the choice of words given wasn't great either.

How low can u get?

Maybe it is a good game... or they really had nothing bad to say about it.

I dunno. Your game is on my list to review, but I burnt out on some other games with clunky mechanics or some that kept me playing.

At least you don't have a 30% disapproval rating XD

At least some of the people I voted made it up the list, but still lower than expected

Like I said to the other guy, welcome to the Indie community, whom says nice things but stabs u from the back, I stab from the front at least ;)

U got an actual avatar? I'll put you and macrow as a parody in my next game. I'll look for a gamejam where the theme matches and says "no hateful content" I will also give the users a gun for shooting =D

"Sometimes the prizes are the games we made along the way"

"Awwkkk awwkkk Game Jams are about experience not winning"

Lighting? Don't bother with it, this indie jam. Not AAA studio release. Half of the people won't care IMO. Something like Honse! can out rank obscure but more thoughtful and polished games.

Sad to say godot is the best open source mainstream engine that can port to web.

Then I heard RPG maker could do it as well.

I think UE has third party support you can try. I think it probably would work ;)

I was conned into buying a large number of fonts I think won't ever need

To defend not downloading exes, I once saw a gams host download one and the moment he did, it lagged so bad although it was a penguin skiing game.

I have no trust in internet strangers trying to stick their files into my pc and inject their sticky malware inside it.

Welcome to the Indie community where people pretend to say nice things in front of you and stab you in the back like your toxic coworkers in corporate XD.

Same reaction for my game.

Edit: I know my game wouldn't win cause I forced out a tech demo from overscoping. What annoys me is that there are some truly talented people, but I feel they are underrated or not visible due to the large volume of games and spam.

Some of them I thought would be top 10 or top 50 are top 200 instead

As Ben from VLDL would say "That is Outrageous!"

I am gonna rate you like it's the last night yeah the last night

This has got to be one of the strangest experiences I ever had with a game.

Basically the  more good lifes u make, the more good messages you get

Some of the bad ones were pretty amusing too.

It has to be one of the strangest experiences I have had with a game.

It's almost as though it's a troll. I get 50 good lives as the EmperorCat God, and I have people saying "I let evil people get away with it". It's hard to be God sometimes XD

I think I was a little put off by the title when I saw this due to Isekai origins

But having had look at someone's recommendation and try it, not bad indeed.

It's like super juiced, and contains elements of an incremental game and rogue like. There's progression too.

Although I would say it is kinda like vampire survivors, but I liked it.

It's a pretty well polished game that nails the theme so thumbs up from me.

Charming little game except the "leap of faith part" with the pass.

Would say spin to win is not really in the game, but put in as a part of the story.  Funny how I forgive it in this instance cause I find enough was done to the game for me to say that "good effort!"

I feel in essence the spin to win mechanic or interpretation wasn't  creative enough or fitting to the game in this case or the overall theme.

It felt abit strange  or not so cohesive although the idea of a shooting spinning ballerina is meant to be outrageous . I think doing away with the whole ballerina theme and just putting Lara croft spinning or a male agent might be more fitting to theme and seriousness.

That outlandishness in this case is abit forced on

I would say this is a pretty good entry for serious game jam.

Basically spin to change objective per level like coin collection or enemies.

Level also gets harder per progression.

Bulletrina is some kind of a bullet hell and incremental game tacked with the spin mechanic for shooting as u move.

I honestly enjoyed it and the spin... I am just abit on the fence about the spin theme and how it is tacked on because it's essentially a 2D bullet hell.

Beyond that, I don't have any complaints.

It's a good game with the gears and spinning... but I think difficulty level was abit high XD.

I couldn't stop though.

It's a very interesting concept for a game.

I like the spinning to see who your orchestra people are and then them moving closer and closer to you like weeping angels when u aren't staring at them.

Also, nice that as u add more orchestra members, more items actually get played.

Potential to be something greater, even if it's not quite there now

It's not a bad idea and mechanic and take on spin to win for a puzzle game for a game jam.

I always say not bad, but in this case I mean pretty good.

(1 edit)

It's a pretty well juiced and polished piece. Good interpretation of spin to win as a puzzle too. Got stuck at the level with three columns and a tilted plaform where gear was in and then I didn't know what to do after that. Nice game with simple premise

He sounds like a real psychopath. But then I have anger issues too XD

U sound like he screwed u, got u pregnant and ran off.

Anyway, why does everyone like to use cats in their name. Like it is a trend here.

Was a little burnt out on politics games when I tried this.

Kinda cards against humanity like game. I would say I enjoyed it, though it may have played it safe and tacked on the theme.

You probably already know, but this is amazing!

It even has practice mode like guitar hero.

My only feedback i about scratches. Use left mouse and right mouse instead.

Q being in proximity with W and E gets people confused I think

It is a bullet hell game.

I am not sure how exactly spin to win is incorporated.

It's a fun experience though, polished in visuals and audio but not finished in terms of gameplay balance, and can the shop be used at all?

I would say this is quite an interesting game to be developed further.

I know you are supposed to collect ingredients. I failed to collect and still won every time, so I think the game isn't quite finished XD, but Would say it is a good attempt. Probably needs lives maybe, and faster speed and less clutter

Are there any different endings?

Wanna say while this was in part enjoyable like the ridiculous jousts and fights as well as interesting take on spin to win and surprisingly good level design with landmarks so u won't get lost....

But Graphics were Minecraft style and sorta jerky with clipping thru buildings. Shaking movement when walking also made me nauseous.

The spin theme might be taken abit too far particularly with the spinning chairs as lifts. Man was again about to throw up.

There are several lampoons to Detroit: Become Human I will not discuss, but I would like you to know it is done in poor taste and bad form

Very creative concept about spinning the lazy susan to serve customers.

Not good at it, but it's nice.

Oh what thoughts u must have had while cranking your gear stick.

Have a sympathy rating from me for this dark humour XD.

A game about placing gears and having them roll on your gears with to a destination.

It's an interesting take on spin to win.

Art style fits. audio does although a little repetitive. A very relaxing game for some reason although can be monotonous when stuck or the audio loops too much

(1 edit)

It's quirky little game based on a set of mini games.

It's a strange but ok submission. My issue is it does get stale abit fast, but for a 6-8 day jam, I think I may be expecting too much

This game is entertaining as fuck... VA is good and it leans into a certain weirdness. Have to say spin to win is tacked on but I was laughing the hell out. I want to rate it bad, but I can't cause I am gagging at the rubbish and it lampooning serious game jam with the actors saying rubbish but taking it seriously.

It's actually like those old arcade style games.

Spin mechanics is tacked on a little for weapon randomization.

Also I think there's a bug. The lazers are homing although that made my game easier XD

But it is a good game and well polished and juiced

This is very good.

I am gonna say there is a significant effort put in to the art style and the paper geysers.

(1 edit)

Not quite sure where spin to win is in this, but nonetheless quite a funny game based on the told boxing games on snes or gameboy if I remember correctly

It's actually quite an interesting take on the theme, although not quite spin to win, but we have a spinning carousel where you shoot horses.

Also very funny like the horses pretend to look normal before giving it away sometimes.

It looks relaxing, but it's hard. I like got only 4-5 on average

Taxation issues... and also the hassle of transferring the money to your country and verifying your identity and so on. They'd rather not deal with that.

Lol. Don't be tempted by money and to sleep with anyone or anything for it. You might wake up disgusted at what u did;)

Yeap but only if you are a US Citizen. The theme is, don't break the bank.

Quite a boring one. I've played those financial board games. Most of them are drivel and full of crap like Debtzilla or Cashflow or this kinda stuff. Meant to sell u investments and brain wash you or to con schools that it is teaching financial literacy.

But that's where the money is. I gave up cause of both the theme and my inability to cash the prize, but mostly the theme first
