This was awesome! I've spent a good amount of time clearing all the viruses and reaching the end. This is absolutely just my type of game! I love those DOS style games, or even VHS games. Somewhere in the middle I found myself just sitting in the network settings and enjoying the song, it sounds great 😄
Funny idea! Took a minute to understand the objects, but then it was easy to follow. I think and ending would awesome! But I like the atmosphere. Nice menu secret as well 😄
Thank you for the feedback! I definitely had more abilities planned on both sides, it just came down to time. 😄 But I'll add some in a future update! I just saw, I will give your game a look tomorrow!
Thanks a lot for the very detailed feedback! I just pushed a quick fix for the intended win screen!😄 I initially had many more special abilities planned, for the dealer and for the player, to make the core loop more engaging. But you know, the time... I hope to return to this in the future and give it all a few more mechanics! I also checked out your game and left a rating!
I did not have as much time as I would've liked, so I worked all night to get done just in time. It's now 8 in the morning, time for some sleep! Can't wait to see all the games later.

We are quite happy with how it turned out and even though it may not be perfect, it was a lot of fun to make! As with every jam game, there were a whole lot more ideas to this, which got cut due to time reasons, but maybe we can return to it some time soon! And overall this turned out very close to our first design doc.
Things that got cut for now were for example
Power ups - Collect a magnet for a bigger range of candy collection, or a doorbell, so door opening is quicker for a short time
Dashing - Dash into other players and make both of you drop some candy!
Experience - Level up and unlock more costumes!
Buffs - Depending on your costume, have different abilities and buffs
And other smaller gameplay ideas, like the monster shoving you away from the door, or a nicer score display of all players during the round.
There was a lot to learn here, considering that we have never really tapped into server multiplayer before, but we'll be sure to keep that knowledge around for the future!
