Ah, that. I dunno about your system, but I'm using Win10. I went (boot drive)\Users\(system or username)\AppData\Roaming\Strive for Power 2\ and deleted the mods.ini and Settings.ini files. That solved the freezing. Beware of which mods you use, if any. They can cause the freezing to happen the next time you boot the game.

I tried using the bard skills in combat, and they don't seem to do anything. The effect icons aren't showing up at all, nor do they seem to have any actual impact on offense, defense, hitrate, or evasion. They seem to do nothing but waste that character's turn.

Is it just me?

Thank you for responding. I had given up on getting a response, and forgot about this thread. So I failed to update when my problem was finally resolved. I switched to a different ISP recently, and tried installing itch again. This time I had no trouble. And yes, the same anti-virus software was still turned on at the time.

My only guess as to what happened before was that my previous ISP was having trouble with the traffic redirecting during that phase of installation. So if anyone else reading this later is having similar trouble, consider taking your pc/device elsewhere to install itch.

Thank you. That subfolder was easy to miss.

Is there an option to delete old save data? I can't seem to find one.

Alternately, where can I find the save data in Windows 10 to manually delete?

I've tried again, after adding exceptions to my antivirus software. But the problem persists. Nearly a week and still no response? Not even to my request for a different version of the installer? Am I missing something in an faq? If so, I would prefer someone pointing it out and laughing in my face over this silence.

No response? Could somebody please, at the very least, tell me where I can find previous versions of the installer, so I can see if one of them works better?

Original post: I'm trying to download the Itch desktop app on Windows 10, but "finalizing installation" keeps freezing at 6 mb. A google search revealed someone else having the same problem last year. https://github.com/itchio/itch/issues/2125 Has this same bug been reintroduced into the app?

Before anyone asks, I downloaded the installer from https://itch.io/app . And yes, I'm using antivirus. Specifically, Avast Free Antivirus, and Malwarebytes premium trial. But neither of them have said anything about blocking this, and they always notifies me of the least little thing, even when I'd rather they didn't. And I also checked their activity/notification logs to see if I did miss something.
