Hey Kaidorak, thanks for the response!
We currently have a couple of writers which is enough for now, but I'll let you know if anything changes
P.S. Looks like your Discord account isn't accepting friend requests for some reason
Hey L0rminatti,
Your portfolio looks great, looks like you've done some really cool stuff!
We're currently looking for a 2D artist to join our team to specialise in Character art and I think you could be a good fit!
Feel free to check out my post:

Hello!
A few weeks ago, I posted here looking for collaborators to create a small, satirical game, and now we have a small team formed and have begun work on a Stage 1 version of the game.
We're currently looking for a dedicated and talented 2D character artist to help define the visual identity of our characters.
"Loop.exe is a satirical, tile-based strategy game where a humanoid robot AI battles through a corrupted corporate skyscraper filled with office-themed monster archetypes. You’ll place tiles around a loop, fight enemies that spawn from those tiles, and rescue resistance members as you climb floor by floor to dismantle the dystopian bureaucracy."
We’re still figuring out the full cast and welcome creative input, so if you enjoy concepting quirky or thematic designs, you’ll be a great fit.
We're after an artist who can deliver expressive, thematic human characters with subtle monster-like features inspired by their corporate roles.
We’re not going for an "anime" look - we appreciate the quality of that style, but it's not a fit for this project.
The exact art style is not yet absolutely set, so we're open to seeing most styles.
Dialog Sprite: Upper-body, detailed illustration for story moments
Battle Sprite: Full-body, slightly simplified version for combat
Miniature Sprite: Tiny, minimal icon for map representation
Animations are not required at this stage.
We’re looking for someone who can:
Start immediately. (I'll respond to all messages ASAP, and always within 24 hours)
Create one or two example characters early on (even rough concepts) so we can be sure we’re aligned
Collaborate on character designs with a fun, flexible team
Once you're on board and I'm confident that you'll make reliable and valuable contributions, the time pressure eases up: we’re all working at a comfortable pace, with the focus on finishing a small, polished game.
Additionally (but non-essentially), we also have an immediate need for:
Character design/concepts
Tile artwork (2D)
If these interest you as well, you're welcome to contribute to those
Please refer to the original post if you haven’t seen it already - I won’t repeat the full details here, but everything mentioned there still applies.

This is a passion project. If revenue does occur, I (as project lead) will handle fair distribution based on contribution.
If you're interested, please send me a message on Discord! (No need to leave your discord in the comments - just go ahead and add me!)

Looking forward to seeing what you can bring to Loop.exe!
Hey all,
I'm a solo software developer who recently formed a small team after posting here a few weeks ago. We got some great responses from talented artists and musicians, a few of whom are already making awesome contributions to the project.
We’ve now locked in a project idea and Stage 1 of development is underway. However, one key team member, our writer, has unfortunately gone MIA, and the rest of the team is currently waiting on a solid narrative foundation to keep moving forward.
So, we’re looking for a writer to help shape the soul of the game.
Engine: Unity
Scope: Small, achievable
Style/Genre: TBD — story-dependent
Timezone: I'm in Australia. Similar time zones are helpful, but not essential as there's usually enough overlap to collaborate smoothly.
A writer who:
Is fluent in English and has a strong grasp of tone, structure, and character.
Can write sharp, satirical, and imaginative prose that fits the game's tone.
Communicates clearly and is generally responsive (within ~24 hours). The project is casual, but people are relying on each other, and disappearing slows everyone down.
We already have some game mechanics and visuals in place, but the narrative layer is what will bring it all together. Your initial priority would be to:
Write a story setup / backstory as soon as possible, so the team can continue building with proper direction.
After that, you’d be free to contribute at your own pace across areas like:
Intro story (e.g. for a short animated intro or in-game cutscene)
Player self-commentary
Short pre-fight dialog interactions with each unique enemy
Dialog with rescued resistance members
Flavor text for tiles, items, and lore entries ("knowledge items")
Additionally, although you would be filling the role of writer, you're also welcome (and encouraged) to contribute ideas to all other aspects of the game, as are we all!
And lastly, some Terms from the original post, as they still apply:
If this sounds like your kind of project and you'd like to hear more, message me on Discord: EffYouCeeKay
If replying via the post, please include your Discord so I can reach out. Thanks!
UPDATE:
We're in the early stages of consolidating the core idea and art-style. We currently don't have a WRITER, so if the following idea overview is of interest to you, feel free to contact me on Discord:
"Loop.exe is a satirical, tile-based strategy game where a humanoid robot AI battles through a corrupted corporate skyscraper filled with office-themed monster archetypes. You’ll place tiles around a loop, fight enemies that spawn from those tiles, and rescue resistance members as you climb floor by floor to dismantle the dystopian bureaucracy."
Hey all,
I'm a solo software developer hoping to find a few like-minded people to create a small game together: something fun, polished, and achievable.
If you're an artist, sound designer, or world builder with a small game idea you'd love to bring to life, I’d be keen to hear it. I’ve got plenty of ideas myself, but they’re all a bit too ambitious for a first project. For this one, I’m open to exploring any idea that feels achievable and exciting for everyone involved.
Engine: Unity
Scope: Very small; something achievable
Style/Genre: Flexible; we’ll decide as a group
Time Zone: I’m in Australia. A similar time zone is helpful but not required since there’s usually some awake-time overlap
The idea is to keep the team small and easy to manage. A few friendly, honest people who work well together is what I'm after.
Artist (Critical Role): You’ll shape the look and feel of the game, and your involvement will be central to getting the project off the ground
Other roles that could help, depending on the game:
Sound Designer / Composer: For all things auditory: SFX, music.
Writer: For creating an interesting story, characters and character dialogs.
Content Creator / World Builder: To help shape and create content for the world. Useful but not essential in the early stages.
Other potentially useful skills:
> UI/UX
> Animation
> Documentation
While the artist is the main thing I'm looking for, feel free to reach out if you think you could bring something valuable to the project. If your skills are able to satisfy multiple roles, that's even better.
Casual, unpaid collaboration. There's no deadline, but we do want to be making progress continually
If the game earns money, profits will be split based on contribution. I’ll manage this and retain full control to keep things fair and conflict-free
I’ll be acting as the project lead/director: I want to maintain final say on decisions and direction to keep things organized and avoid common pitfalls with unpaid teams
Since clear communication is important (and I only speak English), excellent English is required, both written and spoken
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, reply here or message me on Discord: EffYouCeeKay
Let’s create something! :D
