Just finished playing, and I really liked it! I could really feel all the love and respect for musical theatre put into it. I will admit, it took me a while to get past the start because I named my MC Eliza on a whim, and it was actually addressed in the dialogue! Then I spent a good while just typing in different musical theatre names to see all the responses, heheh :]

I managed to recognize a lot of the references, which I gave myself a proud pat on the back for. But I was surprised to catch some refs to Steven Universe?? I freakin' love that show!

This was a wonderful experience, I'm not sure what else to say but thanks for sharing your passion with us :D

Multi-talented?? may we see? 👉👈) If the story were set in a modern time, I can definitely see U listening (perhaps secretly) to MCR and the like. It's a headcanon I hold close to my heart ❤️🔥

I'm always so happy to yap about this story with you (and I have yapped and WILL continue to yap about it to my exhausted friends, til death etc etc), it's so interesting, and I'm really curious to find out what happens next 😭🤌 The characters are so fascinating to learn about and interact with, this type of game genre/style works so well for them

New chapter! I just finished reading and I wanna grip this story with my teeth and shake it aggressively like a dog with its favourite toy, I LOVE IT. New bug friend? YES LOVED IT. I NAMED MINE AMOS. RIP. Older twin name reveal? FUCK YES. LOVED IT. Can't wait to meet them!! I love sun characters! I think my absolute favourite new thing though would be the journal (which I'm guessing when the story's finished, we can only get if we're high trust with U? Dang 🥲). It's nice to know that the MC has another outlet for all their Emotions™ besides, uhm, violence and arson. Especially my MC, cough cough

But yeah, I was NOT expecting literal months to pass, I would've set everything on fire again if I could. But that quiet conversation with U at the end was so fascinating >:0 (I just like seeing them sad, its refreshing. Is that a little evil? Hmmm. Nahhh... "The dog that weeps after it kills" and all that, yk? 🙃) When I chose that option, and my MC was like "I'd do it again," I got chills. CHILLS. Not a lot of interactive fiction games, at least none of the ones I've played so far, really does the "hate route" quite like Garden of Bones. Most of the time, it's done like a typical enemies/rivals to lovers arc, which are fine, but THIS one with U is just like, pure mutual hatred that we can choose to hold on to, and I can't get enough of it

As much as they are my favourite character to hate, and I wanna snap their bones like pretzels, and I went to church today just to pray on their downfall, etcetera etcetera, I'm also really invested in The Drama™, you know? Like, I wanna pick their brain. I'm in a lab coat and taking notes while they're tied down on the psych ward table. I'm putting them in a jar and shaking them. I'm analyzing their shitty true crime documentary on Netflix. THATS the vibe (ФωФ)

I think that kind of dynamic can apply to the MC I have in mind as well, but they're not so much "Sun" as they are "Fire" in that way, you know? Although if I had to choose, definitely against my will, possibly while held at gunpoint, Moonlight Protocol would be my favourite. An AI gaining humanity isn't a new trope, but I think this take on it is refreshing and I'm legit tweaking for more like rat with a biscoff under a nyc subwayexcited to see what happens next. I just know that pending existential/identity crisis is gonna HIT.

The Howl is very close second though. I still hope some day each of these projects will get the TLC they deserve, cuz they're honestly all great. OK yeah you're doing SO well, thank you, author, bless

Holy crap, I have never laughed nor cringed so much at a random game I found on itchio before and I Love It. The main charactersfailures were failuring so hard, my cheeks were sore from smiling, and my jaws were aching from clenching them in second hand embarrassment. I felt like Ray, I was like, "Yes girl, I am so happy for you and your mangy ass boyfriend, I swear" but like actually. What a vibe. Will there ever be version where we see Hal's POV? It's okay if not, but it'd be nice to know his thought process during That One Scene, yknow? But yeah, great game, what a rollercoaster. Keep doing your thing, author, bless
