Hello! Yes, of course I remember you and your meme! And... what is all THIS?!!!!

There is so much to unpack here! First, I always reply to readers here in comments or devlogs when I can, so don't worry about missing out on anything by not having a tumblr account - I don't engage much on the platform, but it is a convenient place to post more frequent updates so I'm glad you've been able to view the blog posts / extra lore.

Second and most importantly, thank you for deciding to tell this story with me: Interactive Fiction is one of the most collaborative mediums for storytelling, and hearing how passionate you are about your MC really warms this author's heart (fire reference intended).

Honestly, how can anyone say I don't think it's really any good and then present ATLA-worthy concept art and a full manga-style character sheet!? If it means anything to you, this does not look like beginner work to me at all! The line art is so clean and the lighting / rendering is beautiful. And all the tiny details. The notes in the margins! "Smiling!?" and "Smile...ing...?" broke me.

The fit is exactly what I had in mind when describing the clothing U chose, including the embroidery, and the labels really tell us everything about Ire's outlook on this new life. Permanent eye bags and angrybird ahh eyebrows are so endearing, help. 😭 I especially appreciate the illustration from early Chapter 1 with the doom music: it's pretty clear how your Ire reacted and that's a moment U won't soon forget, I can promise you that.

Heard the "brother ew" soundbite in my head as I read that, lol! (I wonder if Ire and U will find they are more alike than they presumed in Chapter 2...? Hmmm.) Rebellious characters are the best kind. I agree that this is a very human trait and appreciate that your Ire took it and made it her whole personality - it's something that U might not be adequately prepared to contend with. Speaking of this, your concept piece with the fire in the background is so cinematic. And the name Taberah is PEAK, genuinely. Love the historical context - no guarantees that your Ire will ever remember being "Taberah" in the forgotten past, but perhaps someday U, at least, will come to understand it's most literal interpretation! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 [The Narrator hopes for arson.]

Some certified classics on this playlist and the description is evocative and aesthetic. I was surprised to see the poetry included at the end. (Ozymandius is also on my coding playlist for Garden of Bones!)

Again... I don't know what to say to a message like this, except that I'm at a loss for words: it makes me so happy that you've enjoyed the demo this much, and were inspired to create because of it. Artwork, curating playlists, and designing OCs / MCs takes a lot of time! I've been ill for a while and am only just getting back to the finishing touches for Chapter 2 (which has already taken me forever and a day, ack), so this notification has brightened my week.

I'll do my best to make Ire's story as memorable as possible...
