Hey! Сrazy work for 10 days. The only thing is that the audio is underwhelming, if there was some kind of background noise or music, it would probably boost the atmosphere by a lot.

Amazing art and soundtrack.

Some ships have really strange hitboxes that don't really resemble their shape.

I beat all 6 levels and still don't understand what this purple ship does, is it a landmark?

Also, for some reason the final level was the shortest one for me)

It does take some time to refill. Just firing consumes some aura, to get it back you have to hit the enemies.

Hi, I added a walkthrough video, maybe it could help you.
I guess you could call it a custom engine, the game is written in C++ with glfw and opengl

Thank you. Yes, this is certainly one of the biggest issues of the game. The thing is it would be too easy if the aura just always went up, since it's also your heath you just wouldn't die. One of the ideas I had is to make the aura refill until the player shoots, so you could recharge the meter to the maximum. Another idea was to make it recharge slower after some point, so you could still get your aura back without it being breaking the game. Wish I did something like that when I had the idea

Thanks for such detailed review. I agree that there should be some additional mechanic so that the player always has something to think about. Although, I don't like when there's too much to keep track of, and maybe with some tweaking the idea of the player entering pure surviving mode isn't bad for a bullet game. I like this idea because it introduces balancing between health and ammo, since you have this shared mana you have situations where in a pretty causal game the player is forced to change the strategy, maybe it's nothing new but I think it doesn't matter.

I think the theme is purely vibes, so maybe having an angel (final boss) as a demon doesn't make sense indeed.

That's strange, could you please tell what build you were running?

I died like 50 times at this flesh ball, then 50 times at elder time god, but managed to defeat him somehow. Really impressive game, the difficulty is crazy, but with some practice it becomes so much fun

I like the gameplay and vibe. For me the punishment for death fells too harsh and the game also ends so abruptly when you die. Also, I generally like the shader of an arcade machine screen I guess, but it does make the text around edges harder to read.

The controls are smooth and dodging bullets feels good. The only thing for me is that I had a hard time understanding where I can/can't go, I thought there are some tunnels down there, but it's void I guess.

I feel like the movement is too slow and clumsy, so you can't really avoid getting hit

Really cute art and overall design. Are laser beams any different from regular bullets?

The game is so simple yet really fun. I wanted to go for a minute but died after 52 seconds

The sounds are a little annoying, but apart from that the game is nice

Not sure how this is a bullet hell game, but it's fun!

Pretty cool game. I finished with score ~11727 and I died only once. The huge crab boss is sick

Play it here:

I'll also check out your game if you comment on submission or game page

Hi, are you still looking for a team? I'm a programmer (C/C++ & raylib, I haven't really used SDL, but could try), and I can do some art too.

My discord: duyhamain

Hey, that's pretty interesting. Is there any other way to contact you other than this platform? The messaging doesn't seem to work there yet

Are you gonna put textures/materials on these?

Very cool art and sound design. I like the boss fight. Combat feels rough, you can't really get to the armored mouse without getting damage. Also, it's a bit weird how most of the sprite edges are smooth, but some are pixelated

This is very cool, I love the game's atmosphere and mechanics. Collisions need some polishing though. I also noticed that I can sometimes see the collision sphere when there is nothing behind it, not sure if this is intentional

Great idea. I found 6/8 secrets. It was pretty interesting and not too hard to figure everything out. I think for me the music ended at some point, looping it would be nice.

That is an interesting game, a bit confusing sometimes though. I figured out plane controls only on a second playthrough because saw some comments saying that plane controls are good, on the first run I just flew in a straight line and it worked) I also found an infinite jump glitch, you can just press E turning into the boat and back into the normal form, and each time the player gets vertical boost

Hey you could also try running it on a different browser. I can't replicate this issue, but it seems to be related to browser

Hey you are a second person experiencing this issue so far, I'm sorry for it. I will look into that. Is the problem consistent throughout page reloads? If so, that might even have something to do with the browser

Really nice game.

SPOILER ALERT!
Team members scattered around the forest, daughter being held as a hostage, the researcher himself went crazy. That's bone-chilling. I wish there was some good ending. There was a moment when the narrator said that he cannot act by himself just yet, so I though that as the story progresses we will be able to help everybody. Maybe you just didn't have time to make it. There was also this moment that I didn't see being explained: "what could these deers do in that specific part of the forest?"

Hi. Did you hover your mouse over them? Also, was the game window in focus, e.g. did you click on the game? If none of these help, I don't know what could be the issue

I have no idea how you managed to do that in time. Great job!
One weird thing I had is that in this arcade mode papers are going really fast at first, making it a real challenge, and then they get progressively slower and just less shapes needed to be done overall, so the difficulty decreases

This is perfect!
The only issue for me is that you can't play in fullscreen mode

That's really good. The idea and the use of the limitation is 10/10.
I fertilized the flower, but got stuck after that
