Hi everyone,

We should have started this Devlog a lot earlier! We're Dummy Dojo, a group of long time friends who have finally come together to work on a large scope project. Underling Uprising has gameplay inspired by arcade classics like Streets of Rage and all of the Capcom Beat 'Em Ups and aesthetics inspired by Saturday Morning cartoons of our childhood like Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls. Here's the current trailer of the game and we will be posting more in this thread as we make new things for the game!

The current demo for the game is playable here!

P.S. We're going to be launching a Kickstarter for the project soon. If it works out, the development process will be a lot smoother. Please get notified for it for once it launches!


Hey there everyone!

We just released the demo for our upcoming game Underling Uprising! It's a cartoony beat 'em up that we've been developing for the last couple of months. In the demo, you'll play as a recently escaped experiment with unique ghostly connections. You're goal at the moment is just one thing: ESCAPE!

Please give our little demo a shot! We'd love to hear any feedback that you may have so that we can improve the game further!

Hi there! Glad  you like the graphics! The controls for the game are just through mouse clicks. Left click is for move/attack and right click is for teleporting. Also, please make sure you are clicking within the game screen. The game won't register any clicks outside of the game area. Please let us know if you still have any issues! :)

I can't express how much I love the style of this game! Art, music, and atmosphere were all perfect! I like the idea of the gameplay, reminded me of WarioWare games. Only gripe I had was the difficulty. I failed on the running section multiple times. The guys that ran at you felt kind of unfair since it seemed like they would hit you even if you were past them and generally the hitboxes were unforgiving. To add to this, having the player restart from the very beginning without any checkpoints is very punishing. I honestly really wanted to see the end of the game lol.

Love the art and general vibe of the game! Music really set the tone! Good job on the jam! :D

Thank you!!! Reverse tower defense was exactly what we intended from the start! We can't express how happy we are that it comes across well in the gameplay! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
