What is the license on this? I would like to include the glider in an asset pack that I am selling that, well, adds gliding to the Fantacode Studios (I don't work for them) locomotion systems.

Truthfully, the parkour asset that I am using does a lot of the heavy lifting there. I mainly tuned it a bit in terms of the animation speeds to try to make things more snappy.

Thank you for the comment. Yeah, one of my side projects has been retrofitting that particular asset with cinemachine cameras to provide a slightly better camera experience. But, it wasn't at a state where I could make use of it for this project.

I didn't quite get the gameplay, I think, but it does seem like an interesting concept, trying to optimize the various multipliers and fields.

Interesting little game. I found the stacking mechanic particular intriguing, although I never quite figured out exactly what it was I was supposed to do with it. Took me a bit to figure out that I could double-jump. The "layout flip" caused by the rotation was rather amusing... initially, I thought I'd triggered a physics bug. Speaking of which, it's quite possible to leap off of the scene and fall infinitely. Which... honestly, I probably made that mistake on my game too. >_< And mine didn't get the time limit implemented.

Ah, and I have found that, if I use the link from my emails, I can download everything. It just doesn't work off of the product page. Sorry for the trouble.

As I noted in a separate message, people who bought it at the initial launch discount can no longer access it now that the price has gone up. Is there any chance of setting up a sale/discount for us? :)

Hey, you know what? You made something, published it, and submitted it. That's more than a lot of people do! Congratulations.

That is fair. I had last minute issues with the web deploy that I have yet to resolve.

And it has been clarified in another forum that the emails are being sent out via itch.io.

It could be I missed an email because I already have Filebase, but were emails sent out with access credentials?

It took me a bit to figure out the tank controls, but after that, it was interesting although the results felt very random depending on what walls were up or down.

It is just an element in the music. I'd initially wanted to actually have the music go more quiet closer to the robots so that you'd get a sense that they were even louder, but I didn't get to it.

Thank you. And yeah, the character controller I'm using is a bit more... wavy. Also doesn't natively use Cinemachine, and I've been too lazy to fix it yet. :-D

I never played the original game, but the footage I've seen suggests that you captured the spirit of it excellently, providing the graphics that the cover art promised.

Thank you. I had so much more planned, but you know how it is. Eventually, you have to settle for what you have. I may actually try to spin this one into a fuller project, complete with title screen and intro. :-D When I have time...

I vaguely remember playing this back in the day... took me a bit to remember how to get the robots to beat each other. It's a competent implementation of the game, but I'm not certain how much it was really inspired by the cover.

I only had a chance to play a few times, and I'll admit to occasionally feeling a bit lost, despite being someone who'd made it to the fourth level of Robot Odyssey back in the day. :-D Probably didn't help that I never played Paradroid. But, from reading about it, and watching the videos, I think you did an excellent job of capturing the concept!

Yeah, I'd intended to have them charge the player, but I ran out of time. :-D That's how it almost always is for me... over-planned and under-delivered.

I'll admit to being horrible at any sort of racing game, but I get the impression that, in more capable hands, this could be a very fun game. Nice music, too.

The font is confusing me... is the theme "Bio Mods" or "Bio Moos"? I'm trying to decide if I need to get a cyberpunk cow model...

Not being familiar with the game you're homaging, I honestly wasn't certain how to play.

It's a promising start. Things were a bit confusing for me at first, as I didn't see the missile until a while after it had launched, and I wasn't certain how exactly guidance was supposed to work.

(1 edit)

Sorry... initially posted the wrong review. It's definitely a start to a visual novel game. I did not play through all of the branches, so maybe I missed a plot development, but as it is, I wasn't entirely certain how it fit the theme other than there being a spaceship. Minor technical thing, there was a flicker with each dialogue choice, like it was reloading the entire scene despite nothing having changed.

I have fixed that issue and will release an update tonight, hopefully with a second level.

Dang it... I thought I had that squashed. I'll look into that tonight. Thank you for testing it for me.

I ran out of time and it didn't seem like a "bug" sort of fix. But definitely agree...

I have a recurring bug where my Cinemachine camera switches sides. You probably got bitten by it.
