I really loved the art style, and the boss fight was very fun.  I just could not beat him, but I got pretty close lol.

This is super fun! I need to take a lesson in addicting premises lol

My kid and I have played this at least 5 times lol.  Poop biscuits for the win.

It's kinda like blackjack, but the score max is 24.

I wasn't able to hit 24 exactly for some reason, it was either 23 or less, or bust.

Pretty fun.

I got stuck on level 4 and just kept going at it hahaha.  Loved it!

If you mute the music, you can hear him say "Canine Dander Detected" relatively clear hahaha

Very lovely little game.  Took me a second to figure out how to move, but then I was like "waaaait a second, I'm hooked!"

Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you for playing! It was my first time really putting any pixel art together for anything public, so I appreciate the kind words.

That is exactly what the original plan was for the cameras!  We had to scale it back, so alerting the cameras will close the exits to the level.  In later levels, it closes off many of the doors within the building. :)

I am especially proud of this comment because this was my first attempt at pixel art!

haha yes! You can totally sprint and steal paintings and get out.  The real trick is making sure not to get caught when you're running out because the gates will slam shut until the alert clears.

And yes, we were going to have a bit more visuals guiding the player, even having dog biscuit shaped statues and other artifacts to steal.  The greyed out paintings could have been a bit more obvious.

Thank you so much for trying it out! We had ideas for even adding lasers and assorted other obstacles, but we ran out of time.

Thank you for playing! Kinexus and I had a lot of laughs making the game.

You were on the last level! We were excited about the idea and even got a wild hair and thought about making a fully fledged game that would be available on mobile as well.

Game jams are fun, but we ran out of time!

Thank you so much for playing!

As Kinexus mentioned, we had an idea of making this a full fledged game with many features and polished design.  If we get more responses like this, we will gladly make a mobile version alongside the improved version

I had fun deciding what noises to have them make lol

hahaaa, dumb.

It seemed to be the gold key that was needed to get into the top left room.  I saw it there, but I couldn't pick it up.

The key showed up before I entered the bottom right door in that main room, but I couldn't pick it up then either.

I got stuck where I could not pick up the key to get into one of the rooms, but otherwise I had a blast! I liked the vibe.

Super fun little blackjack/excite bike kinda vibe.

I absolutely loved it! It had a decent bit of replay value which I appreciate.

I liked the concept, but if I had to make a recommendation, it would be to have the starting objects be static for each level.  The randomization made it so sometimes you could not complete the level.

I love the randomness of the plinko system! It was very frustrating LOL

I couldn't quite get the game to respond to anything I did.  I loved the visuals and the music! Good use of the theme.

I really enjoyed the animal artwork, it was very cute! I had a hard time trying to figure out how to get meat from the sheep.

I really enjoyed the risk/reward grid system. I'm glad that it is different every time you play.

It was not said anywhere, which reminds me I need to put it in the description!

ESC opens up an in game menu that gives you the option to exit, but you would have to get caught by a guard to restart the level.  I knew we forgot something! X

Had a great time in your game too!

It was very fun, I think the birds could knock you out if hit from the bottom to make it a bit more challenging.

(1 edit)

Very cute game! I feel like the gameplay could be a little more challenging, but overall a fun entry!
There's an issue with the camera when anything comes in between the cam and Bob, but that's the only issue.

Hi Skwidge! Thanks for playing!

I appreciate the comments on the art style, music/sounds as I did them from scratch!

Button prompts sounds like a great idea.  If we kept going with the concept for a full fledged game, we would definitely use this idea as part of the polish.

Roomba is meant to detect the player and approach them to take care of the "canine dander".  It is meant to grab the player and keep them in place for a second to slow them down to give any nearby guards a chance to get ya! That could have probably been explained better.

Very gorgeous game! It was fun, and I love the leaderboard! We were thinking about that for ours but we are still learning haha.

It seemed a bit limited.  I was not able to play any of the minigames, but I may have just missed it.  As another comment mentioned, the transitions are a bit too long.

This was very fun. Good use of the theme.

Ok, I just watched a video on the prisoners dillemma, and this is awesome!

I really loved it, honestly!  I think it would be cool to have different levels, some fun sprint/dodge mechanics, and different kinds of cookies/biscuits.

I honestly love it!

Yep, skybox.  I'll come back and rate it when it's working!

Thank you for playing! Apologies that it didn't run very well.  Did you have any specifics?  Kinexus and I are still learning so we would love to do some troubleshooting

It was definitely cute.  I think my only issue was that I didn't know where to start, so I just looked for a button to click and got started.
