It seemed to be the gold key that was needed to get into the top left room. I saw it there, but I couldn't pick it up.The key showed up before I entered the bottom right door in that main room, but I couldn't pick it up then either.
Really interesting, I've checked multiple times and it didn't seem to bug out.
