I am a Godot gamedev and I am looking for a pixel artist and a musician to join my team, I've competed in a ton of game jams in the past (check out my profile). If you want to team up, hit me up on discord: dreamn_skull

Do you want to team up? Made a dumb game in the past too : )

Hi there, I am a game dev and I use the Godot game engine. You can check out my past game jam submissions on my profile. If you want to team up with me, hit me up on discord: dreamn_skull

I am participating in this jam and I have a question, should our game be an arcade like minigame or can we make any type of game we want?
What should be the game's art style be like? pixel art or 2d?

I am a game dev and I use Godot 4 for making games and I have taken part in quite a few game jams. If you can make art and wanna team up for this jam, please dm me on discord: dreamn_skull

Here is a vid of me clearing the second level with 100% accuracy.

Sorry for that cut off image but you can always pass the level if your accuracy is greater then 50%, you could have left out the corners and still cleared the level, You can also use the eyedropper tool on the reference image to save time and use the paintbucket tool for quickly filling large sections of the painting.

Use paintbucket tool for large areas/sections of the painting and you will do great.

I had some cases where people would just jump right into the game without reading the tips and so I made it appear every time you failed the 1st level so you can read it, if you missed the 1st time.

You know you can also match up artwork by looking at the pixel coordinates and you can also use the paintbucket tool that works exactly like paintbucket tools in sprite editors. You can also use the eyedropper tool on the "Reference Image".  If you did all that, I dont know how you were bad at the game.

Thanks for the feedback, the painting mechanics were entirely made using Image and ImageTexture classes, very useful stuff ngl.

Sure, I will look into your game when I am free. I am planning an update for this game where the popups will minimize the main game window and you can deal with them separately, as for the lag, the lag is only is the web version because of my engine, please try the executables for a lag free experience.

Bro thanks for the playing the game, I am still confused on the difficulty of the game, one guy said it's easy and he wanted more difficulty and you are saying it was hard. I do think its a bit hard because of all those popups.

You are getting 5s just for those cinematic effects, amazing game.

The lag is only in the web version, try executables.

I am a Godot game dev and you can see my previous projects on my profile.

looks like its gonna be one head after all.

And did you notice that you can destroy the big guy's bullet if you manage to hit it thrice with the pistol or once with the shotgun?

Noice. I did all the level design in the final 6 hours of the jam so I had to make 2 levels and couple of dialogs in THE LAST SIX HOURS, so I used an ancient gamedev trick. I made a couple of levels but I made them very hard so that the game could have 10 mins of playtime, If the levels were easy anyone could win in about 2 minutes.

Dashing through an enemy deals a ton of damage too.

Use the shotgun for him and you will get past him. Complete the story you will like it a lot. Thanks mate.

I am curious, did you finish the game?

Yeah I should have scaled the tileset down so that the platforms could be seen.

Really glad that you liked it.

Bro, coyote time and jump buffering are present, It's just that the duration is too low. I am really glad you enjoyed it.

I've sent a request.
