glad you enjoyed the new chapter! the books would've revealed that they're lions, if only they started the day reading them instead of going to the empty Jakt grounds to play games hehe. the idea is to read through some of the books in chapter 5, which I'll draw to visualise the story while reading it.

he's an insecure brat of a man, he'll need to learn a lesson! >xP but yeah, the idea came from that as I showed the two lion characters around while I was writing the chapter that they thought they were lovers and not siblings. so I wrote that in to the chapter but forgot to edit out the lines when Siril calls her his older brother. it's an easy fix, just need to remove those lines.

as for the typos, that's on me. after my editor went through the chapter, I did small edits myself here and there and forgot to bring some of them up with him before publishing it, which is why some lines are cut or are misspelled. we've gone through them and fixed it already, so the corrections will be in the next update when I've finished all the new backgrounds.

I forgot to add the new chapter on the list ^^; sorry about that, it'll be added in there for the next update when I've completed all the new backgrounds.

I'm doing a slow burn romance with Agnarr, so the sex scene won't happen until episode 7 or 8 I think. the first spark of attraction will first happen in chapter 5, giving them time to bond more before the time comes.

doing the best I can, but I haven't had much time to work on the coding ><; I'm about 1/10 in to the chapter making the character expressions, and I still have to finish the backgrounds. I sadly don't get much time to spend working on it since it's my passion project, and work usually takes up most of my time.

it was a minor update, chap 3 was worked through with my awesome new editor for the project and minor bug fixes so that the gallery doesn't spoil the characters before seeing them in the story for those who haven't read it yet.

I've also added the storyboard when Agnarr finds the main character unconscious in the woods in chapter 1 in the gallery. 

my editor's reading through my script for chapter 4, so I'll be finishing the backgrounds for the new locations while he works on it.

I'm almost done with coding the chapter, but I'm having a new editor (who's doing a fantastic work on helping my writing) look through my script first, and I need to finish the new backgrounds done for the chapter, which I sadly haven't had much time for lately. hopefully I get to release the new chapter soon.

alright, I removed all the "renpy." from the dust particle effect, and was able to open Sylving without problem! I hope it no longer stacks up when I eventually release chapter 4 (I'm in the middle of coding it still). thank you so much for bringing this up and helping me with this tip ^^

read it on the day of release, and I'm really enjoyed reading it! Lucius is an interesting character, and his design is great.
it's short, but that's to be expected in a short story before the main VN gets released. really looking forward to it and meet all these big guys on the cruise and get to know them better hehe~

my only nipicks are the backgrounds and text boxes. they need some work, as the text slips out on the sides and the backgrounds have weird perspectives, off details and coloring . but those are my only criticism, don't take what I've said too harshly.

anyway, can't wait to read more from you guys! ^.=.^

that does sound like a serious issue. if there's a way to use a different dust particle effect, then I would love to get help to fix it.

I'm in the "Furry Visual Novels" Discord group where everyone can talks about VNs and give tutorials for others. since I'm part of that group, you could try contacting me through it as a fellow member.

I'll use Adastra as an example. a very linear romance story with Amicus being the only romance option. that's what Sylving is with Agnarr.

I do most of the work of Sylving myself. I'm the creator, head writer, background and character illustrator, animator and main coder of the game. it takes a lot of time for me to do all of it myself, and I struggle writing sometimes as I'm not that skilled in it. since Sylving's a passion project, I need to earn money outside of it to pay the bills, which makes the progress go so much slower sadly.  I just don't have enough time or brain power to think of a spin-off game for Sylving ><;

when I got a build ready, I'm putting up on my Patreon first, see if I get any feedback on possible mistakes or errors, then I'll make an official release exactly 2 weeks later here on Itch. but I don't have a set date as of yet.

it'll be a very straight-forward story with Agnarr being the main romance. there'll be 3 endings, but those will come from very few choices in the story. 

I did talk about wanting to make a spin-off game, taking place after Sylving's story is done. it was only an idea, I quickly figured out it won't be possible to make it.

I love the world and characters I've created, and I'm not giving up on it! had to rewrite chapter 4 several times, but I'm finally having a good foot with it and doing my best to get it done. there's new characters to meet in this chapter, so I hope you'll like them when I finally release the chapter.

played it today, and it's very well written! I do feel a little sorry for the guy for being embarrased about his weight gain, being so invested in him and his personal problems.
will the story continue with more updates? and if so, will we keep play as Keith moving forward or will we play as a different character to meet him?

chapter 4 will contain a mature scene for those who clicked on the NSFW choice(I'll have to put the mature label here in Itch when I release it), being a moment when the main character is getting a bit touchstarved for Agnarr,  but no s*x scenes for the next few chapters. hopefully this mature ban will be over before the next chapter.

checked the codes and Agnarr's sprites, and I realized his tail isn't actually missing. it's hidden behind his massive leg! x,D
you can see a tiny part of it at the bottom of the screen. this probably happened because I changed Agnarr's frame to be bigger so that I could fit in the full sword sprites I made for him. I updated everything but forgot to update the tail, so it changed position. I fixed it now, so his tail will be visible again in the chapter 4 release.
and I updated the shoulderpad of course *thumbs up* thank you for bringing up these mistakes I made ^.=.^

the tail's supposed to be there, I guess I didn't see it dissapear ^^; could you tell me which line that is when it goes missing? same with the missing shoulder pad.

I don't have a place for that, but maybe you can tell me through Telegram or Discord if that works for you.

I'll be releasing the updated version of 0.3 tomorrow, then I'll be working on chapter 4 moving forward. there's been a few changes in chap. 2 and 3 before I could move forward, with polished sprites for Agnarr.

I don't know how to help you, I'm sorry. I googled the error, and I get "failed to connect to your local server". I have no idea what this means for Renpy (the program I use to make the VN Sylving)

are you loading a savefile? it's probably broken. especially the ver.0.3 Reforged version because I had to clean the codes some and made changes to the script.

make a new game and see if that works.

I'm planning 20 chapters, but I'm not sure if that's even possible. being the writer, illustrator, animator, background designer and coder, it takes a ton of work and time.

yeah, that's what I figured is what I need. I want to work alone first when I write chapter 4, but I'll see if I can find an editor to look through it when I'm ready to work with someone again.

thank you for the suggestion and how to go about it, I'll keep that in mind when I bring on an editor eventually! 

he's not romancable in Sylving.

but after the main story's done, we'll be working on a spinoff after the epilog where most male characters are dateable.

no chapter 4 this year, but there'll be an updated version with some changes. chapter 3 will have a big rewrite, but it should be possible to get that done before the end of 2024.

there's no sprites for the tape measure and Brumm holding dishes. the measuring scene only happens once, so it's not neccessary. but I can make one with Brumm holding a plate of food.
