Doubleday#1535

Hi, still looking to team up?

Hi,

I've participated in a few jams before (check my itch.io profile for past entries), and am now looking for someone to fill the role of game designer, no prior experience necessary.

For this jam my aim would be to focus on a single core mechanic, and polish it up to make it awesome and fun, rather than try to implement 15 different features and mechanics.

Let me know on here if you are interested, or send a Discord invite/message to Doubleday#1535, and we can discuss further. Thanks!

Still looking? I mainly do programming in Unity.

Really impressive effort here. A lot of content, not just the artwork which must have taken a heavy toll on the workload already, but also in terms of dialogue as well as the overall subtle effects and transitions. Good job!

Well laid out game with some interesting challenges and a smooth character controller. At times the camera would clip, and I'd have to struggle to find a good angle, but other than that I noticed no bugs or other impeding aspects. Well done :)

Hi, we submitted this game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420453

But it doesn't appear to be shown at all under the jam pages?

Sweet game, and some good level design further on, had some trouble with switching cats one more than one occasion but a few retries and I managed it :)

I like the overall feel of this game, some good bounce on collision and the cabbycat looks awesome, good job :)

Cute game with an interesting and somewhat addictive mechanic, maybe it was just me who misunderstood, but I didn't feel shaking the mouse helped speed up the charge time

Good concept, tried to explore without dark vision - big mistake :)

Thanks for trying out the game.
I believe it should be possible to zoom in both webGL and windows build versions, but perhaps that not what you meant?

Thanks for trying out the game!

With regards to deadlocking, would it have solved your issues if the player could control how many bees were workers or scouts etc?

Tried to play the game, but I am stuck on something like 95% of loading in WebGL build

Hi,

I feel most comfortable with c# but as I've mostly worked alone on projects, I have also done some pixel art as well as low poly 3d (ps1 retro aesthetic mainly)

Up for a chat about possible collaboration?

Hi,

Unity developer here working with any art style in either 2D or 3D (not VR).

Looking to create a fun game with a few other people. Send me a message or reply to this if you want to discuss further.

A collection of previous stuff I've worked on:

Hi, I'm interested in joining this jam with 1-4 other individuals looking to have fun while creating something original, and challenge our skills at the same time.

Ideally the group would consist of:

  1. an artist with some knowledge of basic textures and low poly 3d modeling (i can help with rigging, characters etc.)
  2. a writer for dialogue and main idea
  3. a sound fx/music artist
  4. (me) unity3d developer

As for the idea for the game, I would feel best if the entire group came to a decision together, to keep everyone involved in the process and hopefully equally interested and invested in putting the time in.

Contact me or reply to this thread for more information, questions etc.

Thanks for your time.

(1 edit)

After unzipping the files, I get the following error when trying to launch the game: "The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll" (Using Windows7 64bit)

Liked this quite a bit. As another comment said, there is some potential for this I think. Level design felt very solid. The game could maybe use a short cool-down timer from when you swap controls, so the one you drop doesn't instantly trigger a new swap, creating a loop in some instances.

Great shooting mechanic, and the minigame twist adds a sense of urgency/time pressure in a good way. Overall pretty snappy and solid for 48 hours, well done

Love the sound effects and voice lines, yummy! Adding some more difficulty to the game could be done in several ways, like making some of the food items weigh and slow the player down a bit, or perhaps some animals could pose as threats, eating some of the food items (if a horse gets too close to the carrot) so you would have to prioritize which foods to get

For sure the bunny feels out of control, and the effects and bonus scores really add to the overall feel. Well done!

Interesting concept and a good feel. Personally I had a little trouble figuring out the controls. Might I suggest adding the information to your game page here so people know all the keyboard options?

Thanks for taking the time to try it out, and glad you like it even despite the rushed build where I forgot to remove the debug key and set proper sound settings for all levels :)

If you haven't found a team already, I'd like to throw my hat in the ring as a programmer in unity

Looking for artist, possibly also a game designer.  Working with Unity c# (either 2D or3D is fine with me)
