Hey there,

i wanted to share the last 2 years of our progress in regards to our indie game. It has been quite exhausting as we are doing it besides our real life jobs! But we are powering through it! :- )

Hope we will finish this projec in 2022!

It's been a while, but here are some updates

Hey there - after more than 1 year, we finally got our first game loop going

It has been a while but just put some code behind some of our creatures

Started adding some text scripts and voices for our side characters

We brought some life to our combat sounds

This is how we fixed our lag problems by utilizing addressables

This week i did not really talk about the game that much, but instead about motivation and discipline in general.

Hey there,

this is how we drastically improved the UI of our dungeon system.

Some update towards our dungeon system

Recreated the city selection process

Created some gloomy woods

We finally finished up our soul system! It works as intended and we talk about it in this devlog! :-)

Hey there. Created a mountain side - my favourite biome so far!

This week, i created a completly new dungeon Biome.

This week, we created our first big biome! Lots of random combat scenes are the result.

Our expansion system works now!

My favorit video / topic so far. Updates to our dungeon system :D

This time, i am talking about a lot of smaller, but pretty cool things which did not get their own video.

Redesigned the deployment of monsters

Pushed out a character progression system. Already pretty happy with the result :-).

In this vlog we talk about the first iteration of our dungeon system

A devlog about the visuals for our construction system

2020 was a hell of a ride! Put all my holidays and lots of my freetime into this project. Quite exhausted but super proud about the great accomplishments. This video is probably the most comprehensive summary about our game - what we got so far and what will be coming in 2021.

Started creating a house for our heroes

Gave our main UI a facelift

Hey Allen, already have a composer - sorry :- ). But happy you like what you see. Also we got a new devlog out where we used some shader graph magic:

Implemented a market for handling the game's economy

In this video we designed a character, and implemented him with all steps involved.

This week, we show how we implemented our motivation system:

In this episode we utilized AI for creating cool art for our leveling system:

This week, we tried a new technique to light up our combat scenes

Hey, thank you so much! Really happy to get such feedback!

Also got a new devlog out with quite a lot more gameplay ideas we are currently working on.

Within one of our biggest updates we pushed out a comprehensive character UI and connected it to our website, so that character informations are immediatly readable by visitors even during development

Kingsblood is a tactical indie RPG in the making. What started out as a dream slowly seems to become reality. We began this journy in April 2020 without any prior unity knowledge but have now implemented most of the core mechanics. Still, a lot of polishing, content and exhausting hours left - but we are closing in to a playable product.
