Overall fun game. Good music and art. And the concept is fun, kinda like those ATC/airport manager games.

I think it ramped up a little slow. It only started getting interesting around night 6, and was kinda boring before that. Maybe the night could cut short if there are no more ships planned or time could speed up if no boats are active on the map.

Also I may not have understood something about the pathing mechanics of ships, but occasionally there would be nothing I could do to keep some boats from crashing. I'd light up the area and the boat would bounce back and forth then just crash into rocks or the island.

Finally, I noticed the light circle would sometimes jitter. Not sure what caused it and it seemed pretty random, but when it did happen it was fairly annoying to watch

Thanks for the feedback!

Ya, controls/instructions seem to be the biggest complaint. It's actually intended to click and hold on each junk pile. So long as you are over the pile and holding, it will clear the whole thing after 10 seconds or so. But I only explained it on the game page description which doesn't seem to show up when doing the rating queue. I should have added an instruction button on the main menu along side the story and credits.

I loved the music too, but can't take credit for it. I have 0 skill in sound production, so grabbed free assets for music and effects. Both tracks are linked to in the credits and are CC0 so free to use for whatever if you want to grab them for a play list or something.

Thank you!

Ya, I probably should have turned up the gathering speed a bit.

Thank you!

I implemented the upgrade system to work off an .ini file, so adding the core parts of an upgrade isn't too hard. (Yay "data driven". XD) The main limitations for me was implementing the changes to the rocket graphically (I'm not a great artist), and the fact I didn't want to drag it out too long and make it boring, since the gathering mechanic was so simple and a bit tedious

I actually wanted to have a whole other mechanic where you got parts from the junkpiles after clearing them fully. You would then click on the rocket to open an interior UI where you could do a minor repair on each part before slotting them in. So solar panels could have been a thing there.

Thank you!

I had some ideas about each upgrade stage having a lose condition. Things like leaking oxygen until you patch the holes, and maybe CO2 build up until you fixed an air filter. But ran out of time, so just decided to polish what I could at the end instead of trying to rush the new system in and likely make a buggy mess. XD

Thank you!
I was going for grizzled/experienced spacer, so glad that it came off as that.
I'm not much of an artist so I'm glad it was enjoyable. It is all vector art exported to png files. I used inkscape, and it let me knock out the graphics fairly quickly and make them passable. It was certainly the thing I was most concerned about getting decent with my limited skill in the area.

The intention was to click and hold anywhere on the junkpile. I probably should have added an instruction button alongside the story and credits, just didn't get to it.

You can gather from multiple junkpiles if they spawn on top of each other and you click and hold in the overlap area, so you could get materials twice as fast, or more if more piles overlap. But I probably should have upped the gather speed.

The visuals were just fluff, and are randomly chosen when each junkpile spawns (internally I called it cruft and there are just 4 variations). I was thinking of implementing what you were thinking of, but ya, time ran out sadly.

The ending could have used some more polish. I just had it pan the camera up slightly, then cleared the rocket object when it fully escaped the screen. I was going to add a timer as well for a sort of score at the end, but since material gathering was purely RNG I left it.

Thank you for reviewing it! :)

Really fun game and a neat idea.

Though I had a couple issues:
Some recipes show the wrong parts though the end product is shown correctly so you can figure it out. Kinda thought maybe that was on purpose.

However, the missile recipe shows nothing as far as parts go and I cannot figure out how to make an orange piece. :| Tried a bunch of different non standard combinations and cannot seem to figure it out.

Using the linux, version.

It is fun, crafting walls took a bit to get right but I was able to figure it out.

only issue is ctr+t and ctr+f for time progression don't work for me because they are bound to the new tab and find on page functions of my browser.
