This was nice! Could definitely use some polishing for presentation but for a two day jam its very well made. The sounds gave good feedback, I enjoyed the different types of enemies, and the coin system was interesting.

I do believe he game is kind of easy and doesn't really require much thinking even with the gold, but I'm sure that is a balancing issue that could be sorted out with more time. Regardless, I had fun getting the scepter back for the king!

This was very good, occupied me for quite a while. Its like a typical pipe connection game but with a colour mixing twist. The visuals were really nice as well,  though could definitely be polished more such as fading out instead of turning straight to black instantly, but that's me being quite nit-picky. Making puzzle games like is rather time consuming but this had quite a  lot of levels so I enjoyed the whole thing over some time.

PS; The filter mechanic broke me...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I suppose its simply because this is strictly a windows build or something of the sort. If you would still like to play it, but we might add an android build once the jam is over at least, no promises of course. Thanks for letting us know and trying still!

Whoa thanks for taking the time for the detailed comment and for playing! We're happy the difficulty and atmosphere for you turned out to be pretty much what we were going for. Definitely still some balancing issues we could iron out but glad you didn't have much troubles.

I personally have no clue what the blurbs are you mention because we certainly didn't add anything for the controls or story in the actual gameplay levels. We did actually set the game screen to scale with width instead of height, which is normally default, in the editor, I don't know if that had anything to do with your ultrawide monitor, but I guess there's no way to know without testing it more. Hope it wasn't too big a issue though. Thank for your time again!

This was a really enjoyable game. I have an app that has a bunch of mini game puzzle levels in which this game would fit perfectly with some minor polishing. I know how difficult it can be to make puzzles and whatnot so a point for that, and I really like energy transfer and charging mechanics you have going!  For this game jam, with the time limit, its a definite great submission.

Ah, I was just aimlessly running around after the first bit of the story. The ambience was almost too good, not the best with horror games so did't get very far y'know

Holy... the sound effects while running alone genuinely gave me goosbumps. A little more direction would've been nice but definitely lives up to the horror genre. Some places were just too dark to see that made it a little annoying though.

The largest game I've seen on the jam yet so I can only imagine the effort that went into this, especially with multiple game modes. Well done!

The "health" meter was actually suppossed to be a meter that filled up the longer you were in the darkness. We probably could have indicated it better with some sort of animation or something that we did talk about but never got around to doing. Glad it wasn't too frustrating starting over since any progress could be reused on the next attempt, but yes, multiple smaller levels scaling in difficulty could have been another approach. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing! We're glad you enjoyed the aspect of being thrown into the game without too much understanding since we understand quite a few people prefer some direction given to them. Of course as you said, there was a good bit of polish we could still add to it and maybe try to make is better recieved by more people even with the some of the "figure it out yourself" aspect.

We did have plans for shadow monsters! They would've looked like flowing wolf things that chase the player if they were in the dark instead of having the meter fill up. Unfortunately we scraped the idea because of time and fear of an unbalanced game with that feature, but its good to know that it would have conceptually fit in since you bring it up. Thanks again!

Really liked this! At first I enjoyed exploding a cockroach from a distance, then nearly had a heart attack when another jumped out at me from behind a rock :D

Please put a horror tag on this game, its no simple space shooter... but did like exploding them definitely.

Definitely an interesting mechanic, its more like a solar system gone rouge simulator. Would love to see the same mechanic with some more direction of something to do instead of wandering through mostly empty space.

"tribe of harmless otter" what a lie. I thoroughly enjoyed being water god and leading my otter army to annihilate the pesky fire otters. Never knew I needed an otter destruction force so much in my life before today. A map would greatly help to wreck havoc more efficiently though. Great game!

Thank you! We're happy to bring the art and experience to you.

Glad it was immersive! Hopefully the ambience helped with that. Thanks for playing!

Thank you! I was really happy to work with 2D light effects in this and we are super glad we were able to attach it to the gameplay to be recieved as well as it is.

...the firefly is definitely a cheeky little menace...

Ah and here I was so proud of my "leap of faiths"! But we would agree, I suppose I got too focused on trying not to make the gameplay too easy after you figured out the mechanics. There might'be been a happy medium to find with more thought, so great feedback for the future.

I'm sure I also speak for Ryan, who made all the cutscenes that took terrifyingly long dedication, we appreciate the compliments. Thank you for playing!

The temple did take a long time to make haha, thank you for playing!

You covered pretty most of everything we worked on, so its quite satisfying to see it not go unnoticed. Thanks for the review!

Thank you! That's really good to hear since we could do only so much with the amout of pixels we had for the death art work.

(1 edit)

Thanks for playing! It took a ungodly long to think of so glad to know that was worth it.

Oh sorry, we did not realize that. Hopefully it is fixed now
