You'll get some tools to deal with the dark areas if you just continue to follow the story and maybe explore some of the deeper parts of the castle :)
Regarding the discord server, I know some people on the TFGamesSite forums have been asking about it as well, maybe they'd be willing to help out?

This is a known bug, it will be fixed in Chapter 3.
Don't worry about missing out on content for now, there will be another oppotunity in the future for getting your ears pierced.
A potential solution however is playing the version over on TFgameSite. It has some more content, but will require a new save.

It is only the Castle Cliffside map where the four cardinal directions are mirrored (Otherwise it would be hard to show the road down the cliffs). The directions in Westen Forest are normal, I apologize if that was confusing. Perhaps I should add a short event where the MC comments on how everything makes sense again?

Maid Quest, while inspired by Magical Camp, is in no way connected to it. We simply both use some the same RPG Maker sprites. Fun fact: In this game "Nele" is named "Lyra", and you'll be seeing more of her in chapter 3 ;)

I would love to make a Discord community, but I don't have any experience running one, or frankly, the time to do so. But, if someone were to make a fan discord, I'd happily join!

Seems like you need to explore a bit more! I suggest taking a look around the area south of the witch hut. (The lumberjacks will have removed the timber blocking the road after you've met Cylla)

If you by crystal, you mean the purple orb in the Forgotten Library, then yes :>

You can't move the suits of armor or get the red chest, just yet. You'll have to wait for a future chapter :)

But to find them all you might want to use the version over on TFGamessite. It has a bit more content, though you might need to use a fresh save.

You can use them to light up braziers in the dark sections of the library.

Try exploring the Forgotten library a little more, maybe going south from the second antechamber?

Usually a purple/violet lever. However, there is more than one puzzle involving violet/purple light. Which one are you referring to?

I did not know that tfgamesite had been blocked. That does pose a problem as I consider that site the main platform for the game (forum is there and such), here's a direct download link to Chapter 2c, you might need to start a new game as this version is slightly different.

There is indeed a crash, I'll get right to fixing it.
In the meantime I suggest downloading the version over on tfgamesite, it is a newer version.

After going up the small stony stairs, there's a ledge on the left, you can jump to the pillars sticking out of the water to proceed :)
