What was the exact goal of this post?

I don't think it's a problem, you can go for it. Just don't put their buttocks on show every other frame and it should be fine. As long as there isn't too much focus on their backs, I guess there is no real issue.

It's not something I'd be inclined to allow, no. Better rawer, cruder sprites made by you than anything traced or frankensprited. You can still use other sprites as references, of course, while drawing yours.

The only one that is clearly allowed here is Beldachi because it's your own character, as long as you make new sprites for her. Characters too similar to existing characters from other games are not allowed, unless you get permission from that game's creators.

I just released a run&gun third person shooter prototype to test a game concept. Over the shoulder aim mode, lock-on and relatively free movement included. Currently no music or sound effects and it's just a boss battle, but I'd honestly be happy for any feedback I can get on it! Playable in the browser, but resource loading cause some stutters in the middle of the game.

Changes to the "one project per person" original rule - now it is possible to work on more jam games

The policy on working on several projects at the same time has been changed to allow it. The new text reads:

• Each participants can contribute to as many projects and games as they want, but they can only submit one game as team lead and only lead one team! For all other group projects they contribute to, another member must function as main contributor/team leader.
  • This rule was amended after talks with voice actors, musicians and other specialists whose work could benefit several projects, therefore leading to the removal of the "one project per person" restriction. In effect, this allows everyone to work on all the projects they want, as long as they don't lead more than one team.

Changes to the "controller support required" rule

Controller support is now just "strongly preferred". At least one among split keyboard or keyboard + controller support for local versus is still required.

Here you can post your request for collaborators and to offer your services for the jam. Alternatively, you can join the Indie FG Dev Discord server at this link to look for other interested people.

By forcing my graphic card to run the Angle driver, as in your screenshot, I got to reproduce part of the error. Let me see if I can find a solution.
**EDIT:** I FOUND A SOLUTION! I will upload a fixed build in 30 minutes!

AH! Found it! It says that your graphic card's drivers need to be updated since they do not support OpenGL3.3.

The second line:

> WARNING: Your video card drivers seem not to support OpenGL 3.3

Seem to be the culprit and causes the rest of the errors, at least from what I can get.

I can try looking for a solution, but I'm not sure what the issue might be here, aside from that one... what precisely is your graphic card model?

Which kind of computer are you using? The reference to Google Inc seems weird. Let me see if I can find an answer somewhere, never seen this bug before. But it seems to be something related to the graphic card.

I just released a VS duel game called Blame the Blade, made for the Fraud Krew Versus Jam 2, featuring:

• Simultaneous turn-based duels
• Mind games a-go-go
• Local VS and VS CPU
• Four playable characters with different skills and modifier
• One of them is a biker catgirl

I will still fix bugs and work on a post-jam version later, but I would be happy to get some feedback on it first ;)

Yes, blocking against a grappler is a recipe for disaster :') 

That was my hunch. Move or be swept. It was a sweet game, the movement was very snappy.

I really liked this one, since there are so very few 3D fighting games around the net. I reached the arcade boss, it was a nice jumpscare. I didn't understand how to block low attacks, but I had a good time with the game!

Thank you very much! It was a pretty strange concept for me and I wasn't sure whether it was interesting enough, but I'm glad I managed to push it out despite the setbacks! Originally I planned more content - if the games gets some traction in its current state I might actually finalize it!

I uploaded a debug build too. Can you run it and see if the problem persists (run the console file in the folder after zipping)? If so, can you show me the console output?

Wait what? how? I have never seen this bug around...?! Let me check again, but I'm sure I can't reproduce it.

Could you try downloading the game again? The pills are only placeholders, I have no idea how things might have got messed up.

Just to be sure, have you unzipped the files before running the exe? Are you using a dedicated graphic card?

Thank you! I honestly had a blast developing it and I played the original OPLERO several times in preparation, in order to try to extract its essence and turn it around. I'm glad it was worth checking out, as weird this bootleg was!

You were looking for the amazing OPLERO, BUT IT WAS I, OLPERO!

Take control of a bootleg spaceship, one that can't shoot - like, at all! But it can absorb all enemy projectiles, with the help of POWER UPS obtained by closing obnoxious (fake) ads!

Bounce headfirst into the enemy, absorb all projectiles before they leave the screen and don't forget to like and subscribe (or renew your subscription to SudVPN) while eating a bad apple!

This unserious excuse of a game was made for the Dev Zone Bootleg Game Jam in around two weeks with the explicit permission of the creators of the original game and features 3 bosses + 4 difficulty settings. All the ads are fake and are not monetized, they were included with the explicit permission of their creators and they are to be seen as a tongue-in-cheek reference to their games!

Gridd is a precious drilling nightmare cinnabun :)

Thank you very much! I'm honestly happy about the result, I wish I could have a couple days more to add at least a primitive AI! And yes, I very much took inspiration from shmups, when coming up with the game loop, I realize there is an interesting overlap :D

Also, yes, that dead zone was by design. I have no regrets.

To be honest, Arcade mode is just Story mode with a turn limit and no dialogues. You have 120 turns to beat the first 8 bosses and then one shot at beating Barion. The goal would be to finish it in the least amount of turns. My personal record for the first 8 bosses is 110 turns circa, give or take 5-6. I'd be curious to see what is the most optimal strategy, if players can find one!

UPDATE: YES! I found the bug, it was something in the code that reset the game flags on arcade start/story start. I don't know why it didn't trigger any other chaotic bugs before? Weird... but it should be solved. I'll upload the new build soon.

THANKS! It's definitely a flag that didn't clear after the story mode, though I don't understand why (yet). So, if you want to reset your arcade run and try it until I fix stuff, open the save file savedataArcade.cfg and replace "true" after "hasToShowLastBoss" with "false" (no quotes), then save the file. I would suggest to set bossBeaten0=0 and totalNumberOfTurns=0 too to have a fresh start.
I will investigate the bug, thanks a lot for reporting it again!

Uuuhm, the Debug version should be a low-performance but super stable version, so in principle that can't be the issue. Can you by chance link me your save files? You can find them by typing %appdata%\Godot\app_userdata\8colorsSentaiProject and pressing Enter in the Windows Explorer address bar. I suspect a flag didn't clear when you completed the game, thus causing the Arcade file to start with a "cleared last boss" state that triggered the GO! GO! GO! If you could send me your save files, I can check if this is the case.

Oha, many MANY thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the game - and that you liked the small interactions between the characters! I need to check what went wrong with the Party button, in theory it should change to GO GO GO only before the final boss. I will double check in my code, I might have messed up something in the last export. Did you play the Windows version, the browser version or any other?

For the 8-colors game jam, I have created and released 8 colors Star Guardians, a turn-based RPG with a Mega-Man-inspired loop: You have to defeat 8 bosses (+1) by forming a party of 3 out of your 5 playable characters. Each boss drops one skill for one or more characters upon defeat and needs a precise combination of skills and party members to maximize the chances of success.

There are currently two game modes: A more relaxed Story Mode, with a little bit of dialogue and no hard game over conditions, and a survival-style Arcade Mode, with a turn limit. After beating or being defeated by a boss in story mode, the characters will share a little bit of lore and background information, including hints on how to defeat certain monsters.

"8 colors Star Guardians" combines Mega Man's "choose your boss order", Power Rangers/super sentai aesthetic, a little bit of Sailor Moon in terms of premise and all-female cast, a turn system reminiscent of Final Fantasy X's CTB, a bunch of dysfunctional party members and some kaiju flavor. I had a lot of fun building it, and I am happy about the final result! If you try it out, let me know your opinions on it!

UPDATE: I could reproduce the crashes, if they happen at scene change. Godot crashes without showing any error, the one I thought to be responsible was a red herring, so I assume it must be an unlogged bug.

Thank you very much, I see an interesting crash report in your logs:

USER ERROR: Condition "slot >= slot_max" is true. Returning: nullptr    at: get_instance (./core/object/object.h:972)

This is 100% the cause of the crash, though I cannot cause it to happen on my PC consistently. Apparently, it has something to do with a known bug in Godot 4.0. I will try to use one of the workarounds I found in the documentation and report back.

Did the crash happen mostly between scene transitions?

YO! I will report this to the composer of the main theme, he will be glad to know this!

Hi, developer replying here. I wasn't aware of these issues, as they didn't trigger in my editor build, but I wouldn't be surprised if something unexpected happens in the standalone/exported version. I will actively investigate the crashes. Can you pinpoint any specific action that seemed to trigger the crashes more often?

EDIT: I'm trying to reproduce the crashes, but so far without success. I have been testing mostly story mode in the Windows downloadable version and currently running through it again. Did you play with the default settings? In case, it would help if you could you send me/link me the files in the path:
