Thanks for trying it out and I'm glad you like it so far XD
What combo are you using for Water to get a TOD if I may ask?
Ah yea wasn't expecting the games to be over that quickly, was afraid it would be too hard for players to defeat the enemies actually. I'll double the healthbar though and will fix air down attack
There is future plans for a 'master fire, master water, etc' as separate character, but that's after the main character is done.
There will be more elemental interactions in the future, you can heat metal up with fire for burn damage currently. Water wave moving rocks would be fun in the future.
Haha crouch canceling will stay, I'll avoid fixing the fun stuff.
Very interesting game, haven't played much like it before. The art style is very nice, love the look of the stages and characters. Lighting and sound design gives it a very grungy atmosphere. The main character just having the yellow mask is simple but surprisingly works very well giving it a pretty iconic look. Combat was nice and taking out the enemies felt satisfying. It got pretty hard later on and wasn't sure how to get by no matter what different combos I tried. It would be nice to get some flashier cards sooner in progression.
The UI of the menu I think the glow hover effect needs to be better, around the entire words instead of just in the center background. The 'inearth' logo needs a thicker black border I think. The traversal I have to admit was disappointing. I wish you stayed on the actual stage and could explore around instead of going into this skill tree like map to go around stage to stage. I would much have preferred different doors at the end of the level where you can choose where to go and maybe even be surprised at what the path is instead of knowing it's combat next and such.
Overall it's really good so far, and looking forward to what is added next!
Controls really took some time getting used to, I'm not sure if I like having to always hold UP to move. However after getting used to it, it was pretty fun avoiding bullets and firing the laser down on enemies and trying to outfly the planes that chase you.
It's a good start so far, just needs a polish and adding some more stuff.
Sound design is really good, sword swings are satisfying to hear.
Some clashing art style though, the cursor doesn't seem to fit the rest of the art style and feels off when clicking. When there is zoom ins and such too it feels off sometimes.
The pop ups there should be a button option to close, having to always go to the mouse to close breaks the flow of the game.
I think there should be some difference for showing what to break and where to move. Having the red blood arrows for both makes it a little confusing.
It's a nice start so far though, keep it up!
First off it looks amazing, art style, animation, particles, and glow all look really good. I like how much the character design stands out, the cape movement flows really well and the enemies having distinct weapons stands out.
The parkour is fun though a bit challenging. I think the jump could be snappier though, and the attacks could be quicker as well. The amount of targets could use more variation, reduced the amount, or set up in more interesting ways. After I shot half of them it felt a little tedious. The enemies too could maybe use some health bars or some indication of how much damage is being done. I kept knocking this one enemy down but wasn't sure if it was really doing anything.
Overall it's great so far and looking forward to see what else is added.
Thanks very much for trying the game out and the kind words!
Ah yes, I'm aware of the bug of sword sticking in the enemy sometimes. It's hard to recreate but the enemy turning around is an interesting observation which should narrow it down. The entire sword stab code will be reworked soon so hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Thanks for the feedback!
