Really creepy and fun game! I did enjoy the climbing mechanic when I got into it, clambering around the cave while I'm just waiiiting for something to jump out at me, you set the atmosphere really well!

Fascinating game! The art style is phenominal, and the music by itself really had me on edge, I was unable to beat the game, I think I was missing one item from the ritual maybe?
In any case, I did come across a few interesting bugs!
Bug number one!: In that area with the fleshy stuff and where you get the totem with the eye on it? Well to get it you move those flesh things and stuff, I noticed that you can keep resetting the puzzle after completion by making a purposeful mistake, after which you can beat the puzzle again and get another totem, infinitely.
Bug number two!: Not wholly sure how this one happened, but it was at the ritual circle where I had the bear, candle and totem placed and was unsure where to go from here, I clicked and dragged the bear across the screen and that seemed to jump me straight into a settings menu, from there when I clicked main menu, and then clicked play, I was at game start, WITH all my items in my inventory and with this peculiar encounter when I investigated the ritual circle again:

and lastly bug number three!: After collecting items from places, the E clue popup still appears where they once were, kinda misleading!
Other than that, this was an amazing and fun game, I'm definitely going to try my hand and beat it sometime!
Thank you so much for playing!
Funny story, this submission was made in four days after the team's first idea fell flat, but given we'd invested so much time, we didn't want to give up on the jam just yet!
The way I programmed the gameplay actually made it pretty easy to make new levels from a template, just changing a couple variables was all I needed to do, but we stopped at four for gameplay testing purposes.
So glad you enjoyed it!
This was a blast to play! Went through it three times over to get to rank S.
What can I say? It's got all the qualities of a great game! It's addictive, simple, fun, and the music pairs really well, it stays fresh and I didn't seem to bore of it.
I reckon this would make a wicked mobile game if you kept developing it.
(EDIT: Did I mention that the art and animation was absolutely delectable? Because MAN is it eye candy)
On that note...

Thanks! We spent a lot of time polishing the levels for softlocks and stress-testing as many of the systems we could, I think this version was something like build twelve we updated it that much during development.
Glad you like the art too! I really wanted to keep it simple as I felt that making it too detailed would distract from the puzzle-nature of each level.
Thanks for playing! And thank you so much for the feedback, I am taking a lot of notes and hope to update and improve the game after the jam! I agree on the common narrative tropes which I did use due to the timeframe, I certainly hope to go back, improve and revise the execution, there are plenty story aspects I didn't explore that I wanted too, such as the relationship between N1GHTMARE and JOY which didn't get much explanation, or even more on JOY's backstory.
Yeah, I know that bug, I am currently fixing it as we speak! For now I can tell you how to avoid it while I finish the patch, I've found the issue arises from the fact we are moving when we click the machine, we will keep moving. So make sure that you don't move before clicking. Thanks for reporting the bug! I'll get to it immediately!
This is such a cool concept! I can't believe you managed to create a whole bunch of computer functions, I went into the drawing application thinking: "They didn't! Only a fool would play god!" and I was shocked to see it worked XD, I love this so much! Although I am a bit unsure as what to do, how to remove viruses and such.
Man this was so effective, Simple, but VERY effective, My review: Atmosphere: Three Stars, you did an excellent job. Gameplay: Three Stars. Short but fun! Level Design: Three Stars, had fun exploring the small space of the house and entering the bad room really scared me. Creativity: Four Stars, Haven't seen anything quite like it! Sound Design: Five Stars, Sound is everything, it made my skin crawl, Theme: Four Stars, I think it did amazing! Great game!
