This game is strangely therapeutic. Feels almost like screaming into the void.

The sound design is top notch. The text sound effect and ambient noise really help you zone in on this mock conversation. I like that although you cant change the outcome of the narrative or even understand the other party, you can shape the tone of the dialogue with just how you choose to respond.

I did find a small loop on the choice "liu" would just bring me back to the same choice where I could just keep picking it and bringing me back to the same spot in the conversation.

Although I can't really find much replay value and its probably not for everyone, after playing it I decided to call my friend who recently moved away and we had a great conversation. So I guess that's the best recommendation I can give. Take care of yourself

A very charming game, the idea of passage of time IRL is a usage of the theme I haven't seen in any other subsumption. The game seams very minimalist but I can guess that was intentional. The robot voice is a nice contrast to the focus on the plant. I just watered my plant for today and I'm exited to see it grow as I nurture it. Can't wait to water it tomorrow

In the games current state it does lack a challenge and is more of a personal high score of how many people you can process in one day. I have since added new levels that explore a feature with banned items and the ability to deny entry over the bridge. I cant upload a new build while the voting for the game jam is still going on. If you check back once the votes are over I'll have the new build up

Glad you enjoyed it.  I actually had a feature built that had banned items with the ability to deny passage over the bridge to mix up the game play once the player got used to the mechanics. Unfortunately with the time constraints I didn't have time to make a tutorial for that new mechanic so I chose to scrap it. If you check game after the voting is done I plan to upload a new build with a few new levels and the banned item feature. I thinking it adds a great challenge to the established mechanics

Thanks for the feed back! I do admit the introduction tutorial could have gone through the mechanics a little better. Maybe going step by step with the first customer would have been a better route than the simple text blog at the start. But I defiantly plan polishing it up a bit

I'm glad you saw the Papers Please inspiration. I was planning on having individual characters similar to Papers Please but the art got pushed down on the priority list with the time constraints. A simple dialogue system would have been a good substitute and make the characters feel more real.

I'm sorry its giving you troubles. Is the play button not pressing or is it not loading to the level? I'll take a look as soon as I can. I built it using PS4 controllers so if your using a different joystick type the "enter" button might be something weird like on of the triggers

With the time constraints of the game jam, Single player vs AI and all platform controller support fell further down on my list of priorates than I would have liked. But if you ever get the chance you check it out let me know how you liked it!

I actually accidentally submitted this game. My real entry was https://danielweber.itch.io/lovers-in-the-crowd, I think you'll see the theme bait more there. But I'm glad you enjoyed this game
