Thanks again, this was really helpful! You didn’t miss anything: the hideout just didn’t explain itself well. I’ve uploaded an update: locked stations now tell you what to build first and where, the next step is marked with an arrow, affordable things glow green, and missing materials show as “have/need”. There’s also a hint on how to break ore veins. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve just uploaded an update: the camera now has a proper dead zone. It stays still during normal jumps and only follows when you land higher or lower, climb a wall, swing on the hook or get close to the edge of the screen. The game is now also available in English. Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
Hi everyone!
I just released LUMEN, a cozy 2D platformer you can play right in your browser.
You are a tiny flame made by Ilva, an old lantern maker. The seals of morning are scattered across the valley and the night has stayed far too long. Find them, relearn forgotten abilities and find your way to the end of the night.
Features
- 27 hand-built levels and a few boss fights
- Abilities you unlock along the way: double jump, wall jump, dash, lantern and a light hook to swing across chasms
- A hideout between levels where you craft, build, pick your path in a skill tree and furnish your own little room
- A hidden diary page in every level that tells Ilva’s story
- Local co-op for two players, levels made for two and races
- Keyboard, gamepad and touch controls
Note: the game text is currently in German only.
Play it here: https://dan2s.itch.io/lumen
I’d love to hear your feedback, especially about the difficulty and how the controls feel!
