Why Mr Ian, you are gonna make a fella blush. (in a southern female American accent). Thanks for playing!! I think the not moving back was to force you to fight the boss, could be wrong tho, i aint no programmer (happened to me too. )

Thanks for feedback, yeah the team is relatively green. So we are just glad we got anything submitted in the time frame! We are planning to refine it moving forward just for practice for everyone, so keep an eye out for an update after the Jam. And thanks for the kind words, ide love to animate as a job. If you get any indie traction with your awesome game, put in a good word for me! haha
Lost a fair bit of time to this one! Fun and polished, a true actual game experience. You should be very proud! Interpretation of the theme is great too! Only thing that i would have improved on is something to do during waves, i found that i just let them run on max speed cos i couldn't place new trees or effect it anyway if i wanted. Maybe a couple of cooldown AOE's or Slows, or shield for the central tree. I dunno. Your game you choose. Would have made waves more engaging. Hope this does well, it deserves it!
Had fun with this!! Would've played more, but i fully upgraded 3 snipers and the enemies were getting blown up off screen. This is a real fun concept tho! I imagine this being expanded out with a little stream lined iteration. If there were more enemy types, if the connections could happen with a single click and drag. And maybe the nodes themselves had cool downs, so you can connect 3 nodes to one gun but it only lasts like 10 seconds. And you see the energy surging between the node and the gun. I think this could be a solid title i would actually pay for.
Fun game, love me a Pun or Word play title! Solo this is a great achievement. Actually found it fun to try and figure out where to bounce. If you had more time to develop, would have loved a predictive line to show where your bullets were going to bounce after leaving your gun. That way you could have a little more ownership over shots, and limit the players bullet amount. It would up the challenge and make it feel more rewarding to land a ricochet. Less fun than just spamming bullets and seeing what lands where tho, i get it. haha
Really Fun! Played this for way longer than expected! Hits the jam theme perfectly. Satisfying tune and walk to the treasure. Liked the cheeky way some levels solutions were made, that you twist all over the map to later find the solution is quick and direct! haha. Feedback, i found that after ide twisted a tile into place it was semi confusing which ones ide turned, so just having a slightly faded rim so you can see the tiles still when they're aligned would have helped. But obviously thats just so it helps me and my smooth brain, i dunno if that was an issue for anyone else. Great job, specially solo!
Really Damn Fun Game!! If i hadn't killed the boss first play through, i definitely would have played it multiple times! im tempted to keep playing just to see how many ION WHIPS i can get! I have to say, it felt good to be able to tank abit of damage and have REAL FUN playing and upgrading my ship, rather than exploding in 1 hit like most devs do to make their game seem challenging. Felt like a fully realised experience playing through mission maps to the end! Upgrades on upgrades, made it very addicting! Hope it does well!!
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude this game is awesome!! Right up my street as far as mechanics go! If you did this in 10 days your one hell of a dev. Feels like a FF Tactics, with a puzzle packing twist!! Agree with other peoples assessment of too much reading (i just skipped and still understood what was going on, don't feel bad i do that with most games. haha), but the execution is exceptional here. Feels like an indie you could download on xbox gamepass. Hit me up if you ever need help with character design or an animation asset (check my jam submissions to see some of my work, or ask for my discord). Of course you have a clear and awesome art style all your own and probs don't need my help but had to offer! Hope you get a good result in the Jam!!
Plays very smooth, looks amazing. Great execution all round. Deserves to do VERY WELL in this jam! Wish there was a gradual progression, like 3 packages then 5, then 8. Could have used the same level. Once i had put in 5 packages in, i lost interest with the only threat being a timer i didn't care about. But generally looks and feels great, could be a full indie title with a few more mechanics, objectives and threats.
Ambitious game for a jam solo! Liked the concept, but didn't really understand when I was hurting the enemies, or they were hurting me. Maybe would have been a cool concept if your mirror couldn't be hurt, and you could use him as an invincible extension of yourself Otherwise I couldn't figure out how to hurt enemies without taking more damage myself. Also i'm pretty sure your picture is AI generated which you should state, if it isn't then your a better artist than me and kudos! haha
I used a software called Asperite for the animation, bought it through steam relatively cheap and well worth it, intuitive and easy controls, if you've ever used an art software its easy to use with layers/ frames. Reminds me of using paint 20 years ago as a kid. (Sound was added later in an MP3 from another software by our sound person, my art had no sound).
Hope this helps!
