Thank you for playing! I can totally see the resemblance to the older flash games that also used bone animations xD

This is quite a chill and visually stunning! It reminds me a lot of artistic games and of serious games due to the somewhat "educational" nature of it.
One advice I'd like to give is to avoid having the same repeated sounds, and when repeating sounds its nice to pitch shift them randomly so the player doesn't suffer from audio fatigue. This is really a minor thing here, but its usually a simple polish that can be easily done and helps alot!
Good job!
This feels like a finished game! You did a great job keeping to a simple core mechanic and expanding on it. The puzzles are well paced, and the game feel is there.
Although I feel like the "timed platforms" (the ones that vanish without any input) are a bit of a counter pattern for the type of game. Because if I understood correctly it requires the played to time its first recording with it, which in my opinion causes dead time.
Still this game is fantastic and I'd love to see more of it! Good job!
This style is so GOOD! Also the game is simple and to the point, no distractions at all (pun very much intended!). I only have one suggestion which is to add some background noise to the white memorizing part of the game, because the sudden burst of sound can be a bit much, but other than that is great!
Great job, this is fantastic!
Thank you for playing! Indeed we didn't add any kind of tutorial, so the confusion is warranted. TLDR: you block by matching the enemy attack (if he attacks up, you have to move the mouse up to place your sword up). And yeah we forgot to make a left (and right xD) wall, so you can just go out and about hahaha
This was such an interesting game to play! The idea to puzzle game the tennet mechanic was really cool and (afaik) really unique! I only have one critique about the gameplay itself, and that is that the game has no quick restart button. Puzzle games tend to have these because when you find yourself in a stuck position (like how I found myself a lot playing the game xD) the player can just restart the level. Apart from that the game was really cool, and I honestly think that with some more polish it could be turned into a fully-fledged puzzle game! Good job!
Really cool idea you got here! The moving around felt quite good and figuring out more interesting paths was really fun. The only thing that threw me off was that there were sometimes that I would clip of a floor when teleporting to the cat, because it was too close to the floor, but tbh I know that's just Physics engine jank. Either way, fun game! Good job!
This was a really creative interpretation of the theme! The action looping mechanic is such a nice addition to platformers, bring out a more problem solving element to them! (not that its not already, some finding where you have to go is half the battle!). All with a stunning art style and audio. Good job!
I love the idea! Its a really cool game, you made! I like the special abilities and the management part of trying to not be found. One idea I'll give is maybe turning this into a kind of deck builder rogue-like could be interesting.
Also, Zen Browser (Firefox based) freezes on the last into part. Had to use a Google based Browser
Go for it! From these two weeks I found it to be a VERY FLEXIBLE engine for visual novels! If you want it there is probably a way of doing it.
I'll say that somethings require some research because they might not be super straight forward thou, and personally I prefer the narrative writing of Ink (An interactive story scripting language) than Ren'py's. But they're docs are good enough, that's were I learned basically everything for this project.
Id say go for it! Learning something new is always fun!
Thank you so much for playing! You know I'm usually one to make the more "eventful" games but I wanted to try something way different on this one, something that involved most of what I'm usually not that good at, art, story, and specially music!
Yeah ren'py's default binding for scroll wheel is to rewind the story. I removed A BUNCH of the default keybinds but left that one because it helped me test things... and then forgot to remove it xD Oh well!
Visually astonishing game! And the card game idea seems super cool!
Some feedback id like to give you is to try and convey more information to the player, I was often confused about which enemies were at low health, having the their current hp number show would be nice. This way the player can strategize better, which I think its one of the core feelings of a card game.
That and I think I found a bug when zooming a card form a card booster. If the card disappears, it gets zoomed forever.
But overall great job with what you guys did!
This is a very interesting twist in the platformer genre! The movement controller seemed really nice, and it had good feedback for jumping and falling. The puzzle part with the sliders was also a clever addition, althou i'd say that maybe it would be better to reduce the amount of sliders to 2, this reducing the amount of keys, or finding an alternative key mapping for the sliders could improve the experience, just because its not an immediate thing and i needed to stop and think a bunch to know which slider I was moving xD
But even then, its a really solid game! Congratulations!
Simple and sweet! The speed up works great as the adrenaline to do the 'one more run' feeling. Theres only one thing I'm a bit confused, why are there portions with 3 openings? I suppose its for option of convinience, so you can either you the slip or the middle one, but usually I would just stuck to the one I initially was in xD
Great work on this submission!
A very well done game! The puzzles were quiet fun and the dificulty scalling was well paced, making sure the player always had the tools solve a given puzzle.
One idea I'll give if you further develop this is: if Bat isnt going to need to be on top of pressure plates or the likes, it could be good to make him auto path back to the player, that way we always have him there when we need him.
Either way, solid game, good job!
This is such a wonderful idea! Im quite impressed with however you did this, I dont think scalable window's are the easiest to do xD The game loop and puzzles were also pretty cool! Althou Im not sure if its the scale he was in, but my knight seemed to have skipped leg day, his jumps were quite tiny hahaha
Either way, this a great submission!
Thank you for playing! Yeah balacing the game was a bit hard given the exponential nature of it. Having effectively infinite money can happen, although it depends heavily on your luck in the begining of the game and how you optimize what you are given. But for sure the balance is something we definitelly need to tweak more to give some challange at every point in the game.
Thank you for the comment! Yes the background makes the whole thing a bit cluttered, we tried to make it less agreesive by using a slight fade, but your idea of a blur is much better! Also giving placed buildings their own info card is a nice QoL feature we didnt even think about! Thank you so much for your feedback, we'll take it into consideration if we are to pick this idea up again!
Loved the vibe and charm of the game! I think the music choice and graphics actually fit idea very well!
As people have stated I do think the camera scroll could be a bit faster at times, at others it was good enough. One idea I give you is make the scroll speed dynamic, as in if the player gets to close to the right side, make is faster! Also if you wanna make platformers again, Tarodev on Youtube has a video explaining common platformer mechanics and how to implement them in code, maybe it could give you ideas for your own character controllers in the future ^^
Great work, keep it up!
