Execellent work, love the commentary and unique set up/flow of the story, very harrowing.

Also, it was quite surprising but nice to read that leslie was chinese malaysian, I'm singaporean but that felt extra "woah cool". Great read.

THANK YOU!!! I'm glad you picked up the themes of isolation from the story... It was indeed intended to be very smothering. I have thought of hypotheticals where Kristal manages to move on... Imagine the rhythm heaven fever remix 9 song basically.

Also tysm about the art!!! I'm honored cause honestly from my POV I was worried it was too "sloppy" but I'm glad people like it stylistically :-].

Also sorry for the late reply!! Already commented lol but it works well!! Thanks for taking notice/fixing :-D

I finally got to this game and wow, it did not disappoint!!! I mostly heard of this game by word of mouth from a mutual who took notice that I was participating in the jam as well and I heard very exciting things.

The prose and writing is beautiful, I really loved Judy and Willow's dynamic, the set up in the beginning to lead to that devastating climax/the rest of the story. I loved how mutually toxic they were, the arguements and resentment alongside the tenderness/memories of the good times they genuinely had. It's not hard to see why either of them stayed with eachother for so long especially when they were a picture perfect "meet cute" situation. Despite the somewhat high stakes, everything else played rather "matter of factly", like no crazy running away or aftermaths apart from the ending, life continues despite what had just happened and has every possibility to just get so much worse.

The ui and art is also very well done, I love Judy and Willow's design, especially the CG of Willow at the restuarant, genuinely beautiful. Well done!! My personal contender for TYVNJ 2 winner

Hello, I heard of your game through word of mouth from a mutual and I'm excited to play! But also, the shellscript/.sh file is not executing correctly for me!! Luckily, the web browser version is available/I could use wine to play the exe but I'd like for you to know so you can potentially fix it!! This has apparently happened before for non windows users due to a repackaging error? But it may differ, but just letting you know! Either way I'm anticipated to play your game

This is going to be a lengthy comment but I hope I convey what this game made me feel well. (spoilers ahead)

This game was not what I expected at all, I kinda had an impression/saw what I was getting in for when I saw the reviews and comments, I'm not that bothered by spoilers but man. I may not have felt as extreme emotions as people are saying they experienced playing this game, but it has given me a lot to think and reflect on.

Like many have said, they used to be and are/were Anitas and Sunnys. I feel the same, but despite what Sunny has done, even after the reveal by the end of her "true"/double identity, I couldn't help but feel bad and seen by her and Anita. A lot of times, I grow frustrated with myself now looking back on my younger years where I've been treated like Anita was by Sunny, or when I acted like a Sunny to any Anitas who knew me. I feel like the biggest "evilest" person in the world for not realizing the harm and ultimately how pointless my actions were. I've come to realize lately that I feel like I've tried to regain some sense of control/agency I felt like I never had, if I could smart enough or good enough, it would change who I am for the better. I still fear that I can never change the past and the "me" right now, that truthfully, I've always been a Sunny and I will go on to do what Sunny has done to more people, I'll never be anything more than a Sunny till the day I die. It feels hard to really accept advice to "embrace yourself and your past" cause I feel like I need to punish myself, that I can be "healed" from my true self, it feels like drowning. I'm losing my train of thought lowkey but I really saw myself in everyone. In Anita's conflict with herself (quite literally) and how powerless she is, Sunny's bizarre and black and white thinking even if it's def not to the extremes she's taken, she still reminds me of the person I am capable of becoming. I hope Anita in some way some how is able to accept herself truly, and if somehow, Sunny was able to gain some introspection about herself in another life...

That all aside, I really loved the visuals and the sound design, the lack of music and the isolated sound affects were very affective, the ui was cool too! This is strange but I remember you from when I was into TTCC, I still think back on the fanfic you did back then, it's real cool.

Execellent game, makes me think a lot, sorry for all those words or if I've overshared.

let's all love chasity ❤️

Really lovely playing and reading experience, I liked the environments especially as they got more distorted along the way, this game really tapped into the part of me that loves both floral and marine life stuff.

Daizy is a very compelling character, I really related to her and how she felt/acted especially in relation to her psychosis. Daizy and Anisia were just really sweet to me, also I really liked what you conveyed with Daizy's past/home life with her mom, just something else that really sticks with me.

Really awesome game :-]

reporting back and it now works! thnxs for the response :-]

As a singaporean, I was extremely suprised to see a game about singapore like this. It feels nice and authentic having lived here my whole life. Despite how different the protagonist's struggles are to mine, I feel very seen by her. I feel ashamed to not be very good in my mother tongue, nor do I speak malay or tamil, but seeing a game where all four languages are front and centre makes me smile. Thank you so much for this experience.

hello! I'm unsure if this is a user-specific problem on my end, but with linux I can't seem to run the shellscript file natively? Nothing pops up, I hope this is appropiate to post for in case this is a bug! All other renpy game shellscripts I have run fine

Beautiful game, from both a writing and art point. I felt a lot like Zoey especially near the ends... and I also felt a lot like Cherry.  Loved layout of the story and the little things like sound effects and music :-], the ending is very bittersweet.

tysm!! That makes me really happy to know that you related to my work, a lot of it definitely is written from experience... Your words are very kind :-], I should play your submission to the jam too, the art interested me!!
