Hi Spooky Squid Games!

Good news, we rolled out a ton of new updates including bug fixes. I encourage you to try again as many of the things mentioned have been fixed! Your feedback is extremely helpful. Please give it another go and tell me how it goes.

Also, it should perform alot faster.

Here a few the the updates done in the past couple of weeks:

• Added a decicated "Pan" tool for easier navigation on tablets
• Added a "stylus" toggle in the "pencil" options and settings. This is intended to remove the guesswork if you are using a stylus or touch to draw.
• Saving to cloud is now much faster
• Added backups to the cloud
• Fixed layer panel issues
• Added animation syncing
• Multi-layer selection added
• Optimized batch operations 
• Fixed issue with panels not closing on the Free version
• Fixed save bug related to animations
• Improved "Color Swap" modifier. Alot more options available
• Added "Create mood sheet" feature - allows you to select layers and the app will generate results based on the color palettes selected
• Pointer tool can now "drag" to select multiple layers - marquee style
• Improved layer navigation and optimized tool and layer switching speeds
• Project load speed improved

I tried to replicate the color palette issue, but I saw no such issue on my end. 

However, looking at your image, I can see your entire screen has odd colors. Even the app itself. The app's theme color is supposed to be a lighter gray.  It looks like your browser or device might be the culprit. Are you using any color settings override on that device? 

If you have anything that may be affecting colors on the screen, please turn them off. You could also try: 

Open “Settings” (gear symbol) in your Browser / Internet settings

Toggle off "High contrast mode"

or

Scroll to find “Labs” and toggle "Use website dark theme"

- The rotation feature at the moment is a bit behind on the other features, you are right, it can use an update. I will work to improve it.

- I see the issue in the image about the generated color palette from selection. I'm testing right now and will apply a fix.

- The layout grid feature I understand fully and will look to implement it.

- "Strip" keyboard: If i understand correctly, you want to be able to include the number of frames of the exported animation in the file name?  Let me know if i understood correctly.

As for Rotating. The rotation is for selection. Canvas rotation is not available yet. But I would assume we will try to implement that at some point

We will probably add a few more gestures soon. Working on some big updates for next month. Maybe we'll squeeze in more gestures for that update.

There is 1 hidden gesture that I use all the time: Quick Pinch. If you pinch the screen inward quicky and release, it will zoom out to Fit Canvas To View.

Good news! I was able to make some improvements. Upon research devices such as the Galaxy Tab S9 does not have  good palm rejection natively, so I thought of a fix that hopefully works for you.

Draw & Pan
In the Pencil tool options you will see this toggle:

For your tablet, I sugest toggling it off. You will then see a Draw / Pan toggle. This second toggle lets you decide if you want to draw or pan / zoom. That way you can work on the preferred mode without interruption. Left is for draw and right is for pan.

I added it to the shortcuts list now, and I added "I" as an alternative key to switch to the tool. I'm looking into improving experience on the android tablets.

There is a shorcut for eyedropper it's "A". Which i will add to the Shortcuts page because i see that it's missing from there. Thanks for pointing that out!

Great! Automatically not really, but you can experiment with using the "/" character in the layer names, or using slices perhaps. It depends on your set up. Give that a try. Add "/" to layer names before the actual layer name if see if that works for you. So something like this for layer name "Enemies/Enemy001". Let me know how it goes. If it doesnt work out, make a new post requesting the feature.

Hi this is likely a permission issue. When you first install the extension you have to give it permissions to save the file. 

1) Try uninstalling it, restart Aseprite, and install it again. 

2) If that doesn't work, try disabling other extensions, Maybe one of then is causing a conflict. One of those should work. 

Remember to accept the permissions it asks. Let me know how it goes!

Yes this is due to the way the extension works. I don't believe that can be fixed. But I can take alook and see if there's something that can be done

I see some people might be having issues with this extension. We made an extension that makes color swapping easy, if anyone is interested.

I uploaded version 5.5. Can you download it and just run that extension file. It should ask you to upgrade from 5.4 to 5.5 and request permissions again. Let me know if that works!

Hi. Spritesheet export is the wrong type for this. Try PNG. It will export each slice in a separate file 

Hmmm that's a good one. I believe it should be doable. Let me research it and get back to you!

Hi @Ozzbit Games I'm glad you're find it useful! Yes, you are correct, it currently does not detect frame speeds. I have added it to the queue for the next update. I have an update being released possibly today and we'll begin working on the next one that includes the frame speeds.
