Hi there! We’re currently looking for collaborators to join the development of Shattered Realms, an indie RPG in early production.

About the game: Shattered Realms is a narrative-driven RPG with tactical combat, set in a shattered fantasy world where magic has fractured space and time. Players explore interconnected realms affected by instability, piecing together the story through exploration, alliances, and consequences. The gameplay blends real-time exploration with combat. The art direction leans towards stylized low-poly, with strong silhouettes and environmental storytelling. The game is made on Godot 4.4.

We’re looking for:

1–2 3D Environment Artists Tasks: props, modular assets, stylized scenery

1 Level Designer Tasks: blockouts, encounter pacing, use of modular kits to build meaningful, explorable spaces

If you want a collaborative development space where tasks are openly listed and anyone can contribute based on interest and availability you’ll find it here! :)

Contributions are tracked via an XP system and shared revenue will be based on that XP if the game is published. There is no upfront cost or commitment – you can contribute one task or get involved long-term.

Hi everyone!

We are building Shattered Realms, a stylized fantasy 3D Action-RPG, through open and collaborative development on CoLab.

The project is designed to be fully modular and community-driven. Anyone can contribute to tasks, and progress is tracked through an XP system. If the game is published, revenue sharing will be based on contributions.

We are currently looking for both Godot 4.4 developers and 3D artists to help bring the game to life.

Project Overview:

3D Action-RPG (Godot 4.4)

Third-person camera with WASD + mouse controls

Real-time combat system (light/heavy attacks, dodge, abilities)

Modular quest and dialogue system

Inventory and item system

Minimalist HUD

GitHub for versioning

Target demo: 30–45 minute playable slice

Current Developer Tasks:

Implement basic dialogue system (JSON or Node-based)

Build main menu (Play, Credits, Exit)

Polish main quest with visual cues (VFX)

Build inventory system

Create ground floor and basic player character

Set up third-person camera

Implement basic movement controls (WASD + mouse turn)

3D Artist Opportunities:

Environment assets (buildings, props)

Basic character models

Visual effects and icons

Modular asset creation to fit the collaborative structure

We’re a small, passionate group co-creating Shattered Realms, an open-source RPG being built in Godot. The project already has a few solid foundations: original music, a working main menu, and some stylized UI icons. Now, we’re looking for others to help us push it further.

Hi everyone,

I got an idea and I need you all.. So the idea came when I kept seeing the same thing over and over — on Reddit, Discord, Itch.io… People from the gaming industry looking for jobs, others posting gigs, and hundreds of talented creators trying to get involved in game development — but hitting walls everywhere.

Between layoffs and studio closures, thousands of amazing game developers, writers, composers, designers, 3D artists, narrative designers, and UI/UX folks are out there, just looking for a way to stay creative.

So I thought: what if we built a space where anyone could contribute to a game — however big or small the contribution?

You don’t have to stay for months. You can complete just one task on one project… or many. You can pop in, create something cool, and move on. Or stick around and help shape the game to the end. It’s up to you.

No hiring. No filtering. No permission needed. Just creativity, tasks, passion and a community.

That’s how I came up with CoForge.

What is CoForge? CoForge is an open-source, community-powered game creation platform. There are no applications, no interviews, no gatekeeping. We break game development down into open tasks that anyone can pick up, complete, and submit. Each completed task gives you XP, and if the project sells, the revenue is fairly shared based on XP.

We’re building a structure and workflow that lets games be made the way open source software is — collaboratively, transparently, and without artificial barriers.

The first test: Shattered Realms To prove this can work, we’re building our first game together: Shattered Realms — a stylized 3D fantasy RPG built with Godot 4.

The goal: release a playable 30–45 minute demo.

We’ve opened some tasks to test the process and onboard the first wave of contributors. They’re short, clear, and accessible. Tasks include things like: Writing NPC dialogue Composing a 15-second intro loop Creating a simple prop Prototyping a dialogue system in Godot Writing a few lines of lore
