The game is difficult... which is not a bad thing! However I did find having a lack of difficulty ramp was a little frustrating as a player, as it took me out of the flow cycle.

The boss rush concept is super cool with the NES theme! The whole game itself was enjoyable however at times I did feel like the hit boxes were unfair (The Vampire bat attacks especially). Awesome Job!

After playing for quite some time, the gameplay loop is quite addictive! I do wish there more obstacles and maps had different types of generation that are more memorable. Awesome Job!

Cute Gameplay. As a player I did it find it weird that I had to run into enemies but after I got the hang of it, it was quite easy!

Adorable top down RPG! I really did enjoy the portrait and do wish the portrait art more accurately reflected the characters on screen.  The witch was challenging enough and the whole experience is super cute! I do wish that the character aiming was a little less clunky as time it felt super hard to hit my target. Awesome Job!

A very cool idea and take on the theme! There were some frustrating elements that were annoying gameplay wise such as the slow player movement and the very fragile player character. However I do think tweaking them a little bit could serve to be used to build the players agency. Awesome Job!

Very much captures the NES spirit with this title. The curse mechanic both serves to help and delay the agency of the player. I wonder if giving a way for the player to control the curse of stone through level progression could be fun! Awesome Job!

The gameplay concept is totally here, a very but engaging approach. I do feel like my player agency was cut off due to the slower nature of movement / sprinting mechanics (Maybe instead of stamina, having way to jump over obstacles could be fun). Awesome Job!

Interesting idea and a good execution of a dungeon crawl filled with puzzles. I really feel like this game did a good job at teaching, testing and challenging the players knowledge. I do wish though that walking into a new room would save progress as it was frustrating when dying. Awesome Job!

While this is not a genre that I, personally, enjoy to play, I love the narrative and design decisions that were put into this game. Its always nice to see designer think of new ways to capture the NES feel with straying from typical norms. A small gripe I have is that the text and dialogue systems feel a little clunky, while there is a skip button it can feel quite tiedous. Escpecially going from death to the main menu. Awesome Work!

A unique and refreshing take on a NES game that takes similar mechanics from platformers.  At times the controls can feel a tad bit clunky, especially within the shop menu. Awesome work!

A really cool take on the theme of Jam, especially how the curse can affect the player agency both positively and negatively! I did find that some of the collision elements felt unfair at times (mostly with the spikes), but otherwise it was a cute platformer!

I just wanted to leave a review in the comments cause Itchi.Io dosnt show them lol

Awesome Audio pack! Every SFX and Music has so much love and care put into them! All the sounds are supper immersive and can fit any retro horror project! Personally I loved "The Woods" it was super spooky! If you have some spare change and looking for one of the highest quality, I would recommend this!

Thank you for playing! We tried to offer as much controls as possible, also what made you think that this was a precision platform? I would love to hear you reason's :)

Just played WRECK! The game was super fun and simple to understand! I like dhow you had your own separate HP bar from the ship! I would have liked to see the enemy's spawn a little bit faster especially at the start but still super fun! Awesome job!

Just played Secret Suspects... or at least played offline.  From what I was able to tell from gameplay session is that game is fun being a first person sniper game with a low resolution. I would made the game more offline focused as for gamejam games its hard to find a lot of player playing a game at once. Awesome job!

Just played Way to friends! Gameplay was super challenging and hard not to rage quit on! The theme was used well however I do agree with the comment below me, a checkpoint system would be super nice as restarting the entire level when your supposed to kill yourself got rather annoying at some point. Awesome job!

Just played CorpseWay! It took me a while to figure out what the hell I was doing but once I got the hang of it the game was a blast and super fun! Awesome job!

Sounds good! Thank you for all your support!

Just played 64 Pixel Store! The gameplay was solid and fun! I found it was a little bit difficult to understand at first but got the hang of it. Awesome job!

Just played GOUP! This game is fun and creative. Super unique concept of having to control both arms and climb! However I think that this game only be playable with a controller holds this game back as a lot of people do not have access to one. Awesome job!

No problem, Just played the game! The game was interactive and fun! I think something to consider next time is how fast the input work. As a lot of the time I felt super slow for no reason but the game was still fun! Awesome job!

All the other weapons worked it was just that one for some reason. It could honestly just be the web program not registering my inputs.

Totally get the time constraints!

Thank you for playing! I definitely do agree that movement can be slow at some times however we ultimately made this choice as going any faster we found the game was super hard to predict  where you were going.

Thank you for playing! That is a strange bug... I couldnt hear any audio but I would assume the death sound would also be playing constantly, I personally think whats going on here is that the water is loaded but isnt unloaded as  the water is only able to be loaded/unloaded when your in the next room.  Thanks for sharing this bug its always fun to find bug and think about whats going on the behind the scene!

Thank you! All the assets were done by Hunter-Of-Artemis!

Just played Grocery Quest! I was able to play a solid 5 mins before getting stuck in a door however what  I did play it was super fun! Awesome job!

Just played Rocky's Pocket Dungeon! Man I wish you had more time for this game! The concept fits the limited/small screen size! I wish the rooms got a little bit more challenging but seriously this was super amazing to play! Awesome job!

Just played tiny raft fighters vs pirates and sometimes other players! Now unfortunately I didn't have another player so I played this by myself. The gameplay was solid however I think the controls could have been reworked a bit. Awesome job!

Just played Bubbles, it took a while to understand but after I understood it was simple and fun, Something to add to the game would have been some type of tutorial. Awesome job!

(1 edit)

Just played Eternal Fighter! The game was super fast paced and filled with action!I couldnt figure out how to use the weapon as it wouldnt work for me but other then that awesome job!
The Weapon in question

Just played Caker64! That game was fun and 100% challenging! It took a little while to get use to the controller layout so maybe offering multiple controls for inputs would have been nice. Awesome job!

Hey I tried to play TheBrokenGameboy but was unable too!

Just played Spooky Tower! The game was super fun! I think a tutorial in the game would be super helpful! Awesome job!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you playing! There is a tad bit of coyote time in this game while jumping off the platform however i never thought about the player dashing off and then trying to perform a double jump, definitely something to consider next time!

That’s also fair way to learn a game!

Thanks for tips!

No problem! I’m totally gonna have to give it another spin!
