Answering completely would spoil things, unfortunately, yes, however that choice, and the one right after if you say yes (the one about preferring mia, chloe, or both) has a bit of influence on the paths for both Mia and Chloe. Depending on what you pick, it can close off the current Mia romance path (which she says in this conversation, so this isn't a spoiler) but there are a few things that will be influenced in the future by this choice that I can't say right now.
I'll also say that not every choice in the game has great importance, some are just things that'll influence characters responses/knowledge/memories, if that makes sense. Basically sometimes a small choice will just lead to a few variations of future dialogue, for instance. Similar to real life, in a sense, some decisions you make aren't as important as others, but I still like giving the player agency where feasible on what they'd like to do/say.
Payback: you need have received Lucy's nude during the pledge week (achieved by having a score of at least 2 with Lucy and mentioning the challenge to Ellie), then flirt with her at the gym in ch3 and the scene will follow
Here, Together, Alone: you need to have been flashed by Rachael in the ch1 spin the bottle scene in the dorm room, and received Rachael's nude, then make a move on her in her dorm room in the Prelude
A Closer Look: you will need to have seen Tegan's ch2 scene, then (if you've also been pursuing Mia) not told Tegan you're more interested in Mia or picked the 'both' option when talking to her at the pool party. You will then have to stay with Tegan during the Prelude scene at the PSY house, rather than going shopping with Mia.
Any further questions/clarifications please feel free to ask, I can go a little more in depth if needed. Thank you for playing!
I do want to add both in the future, but it'd be dependent on having the finances to do so. I've experimented with animations and I'm not great at them, plus they're exceptionally time-consuming to both set up and render, so I'd have to commission someone else to make them.
Music I'd want to get someone to score the whole game, to keep the sound consistent and not just use random tracks leased from the usual places a lot of AVNs use (especially because these places fairly regularly change the terms and conditions of their licenses to prohibit use in NSFW media). A lot of other devs have had trouble with music licensing before, and I'd want to avoid that completely by just working with a person or people for all the music.
So, short answer, yes, I would love to add both animation and music, but only if it's good. And to get good animations and music, for me, means spending probably quite a considerable amount of money for it, and as things stand it's not a viable thing to do quite yet, unfortunately.
With Tegan, that depends on what you want the story to be with her. If you want the relationship to transfer from being casual hookups to something more, have sex with her during the pledge week. If you want the relationship to move from being friends into something more, wait. There's not a right or wrong way, but obviously having sex with her earlier means more scenes you won't get the opportunity for if you wait.
The Bonnie appears as part of the Bobbie choice, so you've also got to have a good score with Bobbie to open it up. Maybe I should have mentioned that before, my bad. But there'll be a future path that doesn't require a good Bobbie score, the choice in the Jess conversation will just alter Jess' involvement really.
For Imogen if you've got a good score and "Enquire further" at the skatepark you'll get the option to kiss her.
Okay, so first you'll need a decent amount of points with each girl to open up most paths, so so take that as a precursor to everything below. Points are easy enough to accumulate, just be nice/friendly in most cases and you'll get enough points. In some cases you won't be able to pursue multiple girls in one playthrough, so if you're aiming for a specific girl prioritize her over all others just to be safe.
To get onto Tegan's path you need to pick her over Rosie to be a geography study partner.
Bobbie's path gets started when you say "You think so?" to Jess after the Bobbie/Bonnie beer pong scene.
Bonnie's path can get started at the same time by saying instead "I think I prefer Bonnie" but there will be another onboarding moment later, too. (but right now there's no bonnie path/content yet, but that is technically a start point)
For Imogen's path you need to kiss her at the skatepark.
That's it for now for main girls (Alice, Ava, Ellie are all still to come - though technically getting Ellie's nude during the pledge week would be smart for her, but it's not a path starter). Then for side girl scenes so far, you need to have Chloe win the twerk competition to unlock the opportunity for her scene; for Lucy's scene you need to have gotten her nude in the pledge week, then flirt with her at the gym; for Mariah's scene you need to lose beer pong to Lucy; and Lauren's scene is optional if you don't have sex with Tegan during the pledge week but still want to be the one to complete the task.
That's about it, for now, I believe. Let me know if you've still got any questions, I'm always more than happy to help!
I don't have a walkthrough at the moment, but I can work on one when I get the time possibly for the next release. It's designed to all be a little obfuscated, but I'm aware that can be frustrating for people who are just trying to see everything. In the meantime, let me know what bits you're struggling with, and I can help you with what you need to do!
This seems to be the consensus from what I've seen from people. As long as the update makes meaningful progression in some way, be that story or relationships, people didn't seem to have a strong desire for a particular update length.
It was more that as long as the length of time spend making the update is justified by the content of it, rather than the actual amount of 'content' within. So longer but with a lot of meaningful things was good, shorter but still with notable progression also good.
Which is more or less my opinion too, so it's nice to know I think similarly to others.
Yeah, and I know that can be a little frustrating for people who want to see all the scenes, but it is intentional, as I want there to be some obfuscation as to what outcomes will come from the choices made. However, this is only really for first playthroughs to be fair, so I can work on a small walkthrough/scene guide for the future to clear up similar confusion. Thanks!
Yeah okay that one's kinda easy to miss without realizing what exactly you've missed because there's a specific single choice that sets it up and tbf it's not clear. So first you'll need a good score with Bobbie before the beer pong scene with the twins, and then pick "You think so?" when Jess asks you about her after the match. That'll lead to you setting up a date with Bobbie, and the scene follows from there (assuming you agree to stay the night at the end of the date, you do get a choice to not, but obviously that wouldn't unlock the scene)
Hello! I don't currently have a discord, but it has been asked about enough that I'm looking into it. Haven't used discord since ~2020 and even then it was very briefly, so I've no idea what goes into it, particularly from the creating-a-server side of things. Essentially will look to have one at least by the time of the next update.
So for now aside from here the only other thing I have is a patreon where I'm posting weekly dev logs, but that requires financial support. I will be putting monthly-ish (there should be one this weekend) dev logs up here on itch, too, as usual, so don't feel pressured to support or anything. But that is the best way to keep up to date until I eventually get a discord server started once I more know what I'm doing with it.
Don't worry, all will be revealed in due time. I've designed the whole game so that if you're paying attention, you can probably work out what's happened/going to happen, but I'm trying to not make it all too obvious/predictable. But it's all building to one thing, and I'm hoping we'll get there sooner than later, but we'll see!
Yeah I'm not burning out on this any time soon. I think that's one of the benefits of having everything pretty much planned out way in advance, I'm not running into many, if any, writing blocks. It's just producing the visuals that are the bottleneck for releases.
My hope with that visual foreshadowing is that it isn't going to make things too obvious, but will be enough that once certain things are revealed in the future people will maybe replay/remember parts of the game and go 'oh, that all makes sense now' as to when things like that appear. I'm hoping that it doesn't all feel too predictable (people might have an idea of where things are going, but not be able to completely guess) and that I'm not overdoing it, but we'll see! I'm glad that this has drawn some intrigue from you, those flashes are there to make you think.
And thanks for playing, I really appreciate it!
Don't worry, I'm definitely not rushing any of it! I'm going to make sure that everything's good before any release. But I am excited to get to later parts of the story etc. so the quicker I can release updates the better for everyone. I'm not going to cut corners or anything, though, don't worry; the chapters will always be released when they're completely ready. I'm just hoping I'm getting more efficient at making them as time goes by.
The girls in the banner are what would be considered the main LIs. I'm not sure how other games define 'main' but in this that means you are able to form a relationship with them and they have an ending; side LIs are ones where there is no option for a committed, exclusive relationship. Some side LIs are, however, more prominent in the story etc. than some of the main LIs, so a girl being a main/side LI doesn't necessarily reflect how involved they are in the game, just whether or not there's a full relationship path and ending.
This is technically always subject to change if I have a better idea at some point, but at the moment that's how it stands. Hope that helps clear things up!
Hey thanks, that feels like such high praise, I really appreciate it. I like to think I've done a good job of character and world building so far, so hearing that you've enjoyed it is really gratifying. Things are still only getting started really, so hopefully the future releases will not disappoint!
