~some late spoilers warning just in case~

bundle buyer here. this was real cute, poignant, funny, all the good stuff. I restarted a few times since I didn't end up on any path for my lil guy Gilbert and I'm glad I did because it canonically would have killed me otherwise. I'm not sure it's intended but if you clean up/finish all three sections without following Arcuri & Harrison you don't get any further choices to click, like there's no bus scene, hence the restarting. but regardless, this was a charming place to be for an hour and change. also Jeff Rosenstock owns

hey there! I think this game, from the music to the characters to the gameplay itself, is a great charming gem of a world that I wish at the very least had 40 reviews on steam. a lot of love must have gone into it and it shows!

in fact I like it so much I speedran it this last week+ and you should know it still rules to play even in just 20 minutes. I think you'll like(?) how Tanuki Town (aside from a lil lapse in judgment at the end) and especially Giri Giri look in their current forms. aside from one other person's run 3 years ago there is no community unfortunately but with any luck the world at large will catch on one day. thanks again for a sweet game!

ah yeah... on rewatch that does make me bristle to watch to come out of nowhere; at the time it passed over me as another sad sack quote unquote characterization of Lars but as a sad sack white dude I'm sorry you had to read that. if I can speak for the developer then I'm beyond sure they didn't mean for that to be hurtful. they're good people and like it was for me it must have been a blind spot, tropes and character aside. I can't quote from memory any specifics about this that happens in between that and Lars' arc concluding but I don't believe it gets worse than that scene, or at least that overt.

sweet game to play in short bursts so your brain doesn't fry from overexposure or repetition. music owns too. appreciate the shoutout from Ali Yaga

very nice little game to echo an earlier review. keeps giving you hope when you think you're down and out! it gave me a Tetris effect for a few mornings while chipping away slowly over a week @__@
