haven't been around since really early on but I like how it has developed! I also love the art and the little bugs that wander around the screen and pile up your coins

Things like a map (so the player has some control over events), items that only serve to buff other items, and modifiers to specific cards, are a traditional staple of games like this. Don't worry about being "generic" because this game is fundamentally pretty unique.
oh, also:
- please consider Mac portability long-term thank you
- "cripple" could offend somebody idk
That's my two cents spent, I won't suggest anything more except for bug fixes. Again, ditto on the "truly awesome and addictive."
A way to skip cards after battles would be good, but there is always a more interesting way...
Some rogue likes do something like this: merging duplicates to create a better or higher-rarity item of the same type (e.g. I have three clay golems and I can merge them into a stone golem or something). I think this would work well given the relatively inexpensive rerolls after battle. I won't actually recommend this but it's worth trying. Did I mention the game is great?
I got a bunch of summons, shields and a few buffing cards for a deck with only a sword as an actual weapon. After a couple runs with it, I think the artist's clay should duplicate the actual summon itself with all its buffs/shield/thorns instead of base stats. With the existing summon-support cards (which could be better), it should be balanced. If not, the rarity could be increased since it seems like it should be rare. The game looks like it has a LOT of potential based on how simple yet fun it is right now.
Achieved the same thing more cleanly with pure cue cards and Temperance. This time I had credit cards to create negative cards and a Get Out of Jail Free card to nullify damage. I bought the entire casino and created inflation of +45,940,023,478%, which obliterated the global banking system and bankrupted all major exporters on Earth.
New floors will certainly come with some re-balancing.
I tripled my dis-card via Coin Flip event with Temperance and a Get Well card in my deck. I also have a cue card, transit card, and some negative cards thanks to choosing diamonds and lucky shops.
So ... Temperance apparently caps at 1998 chips, but I have now farmed over 100,000 chips before the end of the Lounge and maxed out a birthday card from scratch in a single battle.
Love the game, try diamonds if y'all haven't already
