Win-win

Thanks, Mr. Lord!  Did I absolutely need a doubloon to feel like the jam was worth it? No. Am I absolutely stoked to get one? Yes.

It's okay if I don't get a prize. That's not really what I care about. I just wanted my hours of work to be recognized so I didn't feel terrible. Just knowing it got played by a judge is good enough for me. If a bug took me out of the contest, then it is what it is.

Thanks for playing my game! And on a video no less! I know you played all the games in the skirmish, but it still means a lot to me :)

Hey Fontlord. It was updated once, but the update made the frame rate janky, so I reverted to the original file about 30 seconds later. So, ultimately, it should be the same now as it was at my submission time

I left a comment in the sticky announcement topic, but I wasn't sure it'd be seen.

My entry is listed as "Scuttled" because they couldn't get it to work. But it works fine for me, and it worked well enough to get 18 ratings and several comments. I just don't understand what happened....

Help!
It says that my entry, Lost Treasure, was scuttled because you can't run or move.

But when I run the game, everything works fine... And it worked for everyone else....

Well it's a theme, not a rule. So if you wanted to make a game where you could only do literally one thing (like jump), that works. But if you want to make a game where your character can walk and jump and then have just one ability for interacting with the world, that would work as well.

Thanks! I may or may not actually do it since I've made some sizable changes to the project in the engine, and I don't want to bring it back to an earlier version for one little update or change my entry too much by adding all my changes.

Maybe I'll just cross my fingers

I'm assuming this is not allowed, but I wanted to be sure.
Am I allowed to upload a patch to my submission that would, for example, marginally change the way the player controls?
Or are updates not allowed after the deadline?

Thank you for playing! I agree that the turning should be a bit tighter. If I changed the game around a bit, I think the Mario coin idea could work. I kinda like that you have to hunt for them. But that would definitely feel better with more control

Thanks for playing! It definitely need some monotony-breaking content. The islands are as slap-dash as they can get. But the logic was fun to create!

Thank you! I still make that mistaken assumption as well

Thanks for playing! I'm starting to come around on the turning thing. At first, I liked how clumsy and unforgiving it was. But now I think it would make a more fun experience if it controlled slightly better. And isn't that what it's all about

Thank you! It used to be faster XD

Thank you! I absolutely agree about the music issue. I put the music in with about an hour left on the clock. I noticed right away that it was painfully repetitive, but I didn't have the time to come up with a better idea.

Thanks!

Very cool idea! I couldn't figure out how to close the application though. Had to alt+f4 it. It is quite tough to find the treasures.

Nice interpretation of "Bounty" :)

This is very close to what I wanted to do with my game, but I decided not to because I wanted more time to make it cool. Great work! (I think we used the same technique for our ripply water. Brackeys?)

It did crash when I died from a...grenade? But it was pretty fun. Good work!

This game is very fun and very clever! Great choice of words, too. Sometimes it jumps out, and sometimes I can't tell until it's too late. A++

It's cute, and I like the controls. It took some getting used to. I do wish there was more to do besides just find the islands. Good work nonetheless!

Really cute appearance. I liked the 2D/3D combo. I was not expecting a typing game XD. Nicely done

Man, this one is really good! It's hard, but it's enjoyable. Not sure how long I could play it, but it's a fun distraction.

Thanks! Yeah, the time limits are 4 minutes for gold, 5 for silver, and 6 for bronze. So it does take some time to complete.

I really enjoyed this one. The strategy is deeper than it seems.  A+

This game feels insanely polished. It's very cool. Great job!

I like the art, though some animations wouldn't be bad. It did take a while to figure out what the goal was. But I liked it! Never heard the term "bount" before.

I collected all the coins in the level and then just ran around for 5 minutes. Maybe I missed something? It's interesting, and the run animation is very smooth. Neat concept!

This was strangely satisfying. Not the deepest game ever, but I still shoveled like 5 lots just because of how much I wanted to clear them. Nice job!

It did look nice. I kinda wish there was a little more contrast between the 2 colors chosen, but that's personal. The gameplay was pretty simple, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It could use a bit more polish, but hey, it's a 3 day game jam.

Thank you so much!

Whoa! Thank you!

I really like the look of this game. Super bold to take on the limitation in 3D. One problem...I can't kill the yetis. My buzzsaw(?) just pushes them around. Sometimes they'll just fly up into the air off screen and will explode when they come down, but hitting them with my weapon(?) doesn't do anything.

I promise you can make it if you try! it's hard coded to last 90 seconds and the speed of everything is limited to be "possible"

I survived 23 pages! Very fun and creative concept! I love what you did with the limitation, and the wizard character is adorable. This could  be a real  complete game if fleshed out over more than a weekend. As a jam submission, top notch!

The sprites are very adorable and well animated. I'd love to see them put to use in a game when you have time to work on it!
