its cool that you, made this. It's not a bad prototype. I implemented 2 paradox tournament in a Tetris like game jam game.  https://callidus.itch.io/2-paradoxical-tournament imo a this mechanic works best when you are not picking the thing in a simultaneous way.

Thanks for playing, your right about it being pretentious, but this was my first Game Jam. Also maybe next time I can make a game with a little more polish.
