Hello, everybody!

I wanted to share with you all the article we published yesterday in our blog! I specifically cover how to get smaller build sizes in Unity. I show how I got the initial, empty Android build, from 17MB to 6MB!

I have been developing games in Unity for over 2 years, and optimization tricks found on the internet are quite repetitive. So I bundled up some of the tricks & tips I have found the most effective and that are not super easy to find on the internet.

Our guide: Optimizing Unity’s Build Size for Mobile Games

Let me know if you found this tutorial useful, or if you have any feedback :)

Rubix is a mobile, cube-based puzzler, based on the iconic Rubik’s cube and inspired on match-three games (like Candy Crush!).

If any of these features sound interesting to you: PLAY THE DEMO!

Rubix’s Core Mechanics

The goal of the game: match each cube with its platform. Sounds simple, eh? Here’s the catch: you can only switch the color of 3 neighboring cubes at a time.

Over 1,000 levels vary from 2 to 4 colors for the cubes to cycle through, increasing their difficulty further! Rubix includes 5 different special cubes that introduce challenging new gameplay mechanics. And don’t forget to complete 60+ achievements (with hilarious pop culture references!).

Based on the iconic Rubik’s Cube and inspired by tile-matching games, Rubix is an engaging puzzle game for mobile that strives for an easygoing, yet immersive gameplay that will keep you HOOKED!
