Super cute and very well polished!
I only have nitpicks because I've worked on an incremental game before. Once you unlock the homebody that's all you need to start making numbers go brrr. It looks like you are using linear math for both the upgrade price and the rewards when the standard for incremental games is to grade everything on exponentials. The outfits and egg collection are a good way to keep players engaged outside of maxing out upgrades. Honestly a great base to build a Cookie Clicker competitor
Cute concept and nice colors, felt a bit cheated at some points as the ghosts would start a hunting cycle before I found where the cardboard box was. Also the ghosts still are vulnerable to attacks when haunting you so I found it easier to jump on them during that cycle. The corner animations also feel too sticky, 90% of my deaths were because I ended up on a corner. Needs some more cooking but great potential!
I think this will backfire badly... If motivated outsiders want to support their friend's game this process is going to feed them 50 other games for them to spam rate until they get to their friends submission. If anything this seems to encourage mass one star ratings. Why include outside input at all? That's pretty unusual for game jams.
I suspect you are a big platform gamer. The jumps that the player needs to execute past the first level are probably easy for people who have done a lot of platforming and have that rhythm down. So while it might seem trivial to a regular platform player, I found the difficulty jump between the tutorial and the 2nd level pretty daunting.
I trudged along until the (4th?) level before giving up. The solutions are creative and the game has a whole unified look. Some of the box colors looked way too similar so I did have trouble figuring out what the correct order to pull boxes out was
Great use of giving a player a new mechanic and then setting up a puzzle for them to use said mechanic. I did have issues navigating around with a player token. Generally with top down games your avatar only takes up one square of space and the hitbox for the bear felt inconsistent.
Good level design!
It's charming, I keep getting stuck on the heavy water pistol level. I feel like I'm suppose to attack the real world ghost but I'm not able too?
I watched your trailer and when back to try again and then was frustrated at the lack of level selection.
Fun game, I like the contrast between 2D and 3D world, and the tasks felt really well balanced between the two. Never a dull moment!

I think most top down games in a similar vein will auto adjust you back to the right grid placement when you just barely hit the edge of a wall, this game didn't do that so the movement felt oddly "sticky"
But the game is super cute and the hitchhikers guide reference is fun! Visually this looks very well polished, there's just small gameplay nitpicks
It looks beautiful, it's nostalgic, it's polished but it's not exactly fun?
There is a lot of text which is fun to read the first time though but then you get forced to click through again if you die and restart. Santa feels slow which is expected for stealth but I had trouble finding where the collision boxes were and it's confusing that the guard can move diagonally but Santa only in the 4 cardinal directions.
All in all, this would be great with a bit of fine tuning and some more levels to play
