I've always loved those anime moments where fighters move so fast they practically teleport and leave afterimages behind, so I decided to make a short game focused entirely around that feeling.

In Swordance, you fight a goblin in a fast paced duel where both of you teleport around the battlefield. The twist is that the enemy gradually learns how you fight and starts adapting during the battle.

The whole game is short (around 5 minutes) and I tried to make it feel like one escalating sword duel.

I've finally released it for free and I'd love to hear what you think about it.

Heya! Thanks for dropping by. The menu is entirely controlled with the left click of the mouse. For the instruction screen in particular, there should be a "back" button at the bottom that should bring you back.

It's now much easier to see if you are tired. I've also added a sound effect and an animation to make exhaustion easier to notice.

An update, it looks like my game finished loading. I think it took around 20 minutes for it to load. I gave the game a test run and it works.

Man, hotswapping is such a cool idea. With it, you can in theory play as any npc character. I'll explore that idea in my next game.

I can add a PVP mode in with the second round of patches. To make PVP mode work, I'll add in a stamina bar that prevents people from blocking forever.

I'm nearly done my first round of updates. It consists of other feedback I received yesterday, mainly about the improving AI, as well as improving blocking animations.

Eventually, I want to move on to my next game idea, with 1 player + 4 companion AI vs 1 boss AI. I think I'll be able to add in your idea as well here, so you can play as either the other companions, or perhaps even the boss.
