Thanks Karl! :)

Big thank you! :)

This seems to mostly be an issue on NVIDIA cards (though not all), I'll need to look more into it...

Thank you! Rly appreciate it :)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed :)

Thanks! And yeah, you're prolly right about the bright red, I'll play around with some calmer colors :)

Big thanks! The black ground seems to happen on some Windows machines too, not quite sure yet what the issue is.

Glad you enjoyed :)

Thanks! Yup, Hotline Miami was a big inspiration for the gameplay

Thank you!
I luckily was able to use the render "framework" from another project for this, so I didn't need to write all the SDL code in a week lol.
Would have taken forever :D

Super satisfying simulation, well done!
Only issue I noticed was, that the particles would leak through diagonal surfaces, where two pixels corners touched

000X
00X0
0X00
X000

like so.

Was waiting to try this one, glad you got a Windows build up and running :)

Thank you Lucy :) Appreciate it!

Thanks a ton! Really glad you enjoyed it :)

Really cool project! I love the planet shaders especially, and spaceship controls feel quite smooth :))

You have to press shift and the button next to zero, so no dedicated key, and the scancode might be different. I think it's like that on all nordic / scandinavian keyboards?

And alright, I'll probably try to grind the rest then! I think I didn't understand the rules completely yet, so maybe a fresh look would get me through it

I have a finnish keyboard so I had trouble finding the '?' key :0

Other than that, super well designed once I figured out the controls! Love the music, sfx, etc...  started to go a bit over my head after lvl 12 or so :D

Also a single button to reset the cursor to one tile would be nice, I kept accidentally pressing R trying to do that lol

Awesome, visuals are super cute :)) Some sliding against surfaces would make the raft control much more fluently, otherwise I thought the controls were fine (once I got the thing moving)

Great job!

Ahh, damn. Hope I figure it out, thanks!

(1 edit)

I see others have had this issue too, quite unfortunate.. Thank you for playing! :)

Big thanks! I am on AMD, so that might explain the inconsistency. If you have time, could you test turning off shadows in the options, I have a feeling that *might* have something to do with it. Hope I can fix the issue after the jam ends :)

Fun game with a lot in it, enjoyed it! Though i have no idea how the player gets more energy from those stressful nights... Good job :)

Wasn't at first obvious (to me) how to control lol, nevertheless cool idea for a game!

Fun little game, loved the attention to detail with breaking the carts when switching while they still were on top!

Thanks, appreciate it!

Thank you! :))

Big thanks! You got quite far through actually - I struggle myself too on some of the later levels, so well done :)

And you're def right about the AI, that could be improved quite a bit.

Thank you for playing!

Controls are super intuitive, really dig the art style and audio. Great job!

Big thanks! :)) I'll take a closer look at the feedback after the game jam...

Hey!

The game has worked fine when I've tested downloading it on other machines, so not sure what the issue is :/

What specs are you running?

Are you a Davie504 fan, or enjoy challenging 2D games? This might be the right game for you! The game has multiple levels, ranging in difficulty from easy to hard.

Davie The Slapper is a 2D twin stick shooter, where instead of guns, you play bass to defeat your enemies.

Your character is Davie504, fighting in duels or bass battles. Enemies range from instruments, like the acoustic guitars, to guitarists and bassists. Ever wanted to fight in a bass battle against the Pro Bassist or Camera Guy? In this game, you can! Additionally there also is the challenge game mode, where you'll fight multiple enemies at the same time.

I've been working on this game for a few months, and I'm pretty happy to finally get it released. Hope you like it! :D
