Hey everyone,
I’ve been stuck for a while trying to animate natural-looking first-person hand movements in Blender.
I’m using the Mixamo add-on / control rig to retarget and control the hands, but I’m struggling to get smooth, believable hand motion (especially wrist rotation, finger movement, and overall flow). The animations either feel stiff or unnatural, and I can’t seem to make them look right in first-person view.
I’m mainly looking for guidance on:
-
Proper workflow for first-person hand animations
-
Whether Mixamo control rig is the right approach or if I should switch to another rig
-
Tips for animating hands (IK/FK usage, keyframing, references, etc.)
If anyone has experience with first-person hand animation in Blender or good tutorials/resources, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks!
